Fantasy setting except that Dwarvish culture is bizarrely incomprehensible as a deliberate choice to keep the outsiders out, Tumblr-style. They're unhesitant to express their genuinely held beliefs and traditions, and unapologetic about freaking other people out with them, but whenever someone new is being introduced to them, they do somewhat up the ante and play it up a bit for presentation.
