Robin would be so disappointed when she finally finds out that they 'hot guy' that Steve has been pining and whining about for months is Eddie Munson. But mostly bc Steve thought she'd guessed. She just gives him a Look™, repeating all the words he used to describe Eddie and then asking him what made him think that she'd know he was talking about goddamn Eddie Munson.

Day 6 - Drunken Confessions

Everyone else is long gone from the party, having stumbled their way to the front door with promises to drive safe maybe about an hour ago. Not that Steve or Eddie have been keeping track of time, neither one can focus on anything but the nonsensical rambling of their conversation and the swirling feeling in their heads. Not to mention, their proximity to one another. Sprawled out on the floor, the only support keeping them upright being the couch behind them.

Eddie is mid sentence when Steve starts to move closer, his body moving faster than his inebriated mind can keep up. His lips press against soft flesh for only a second, a hot mouth that tastes of beer and whisky, that shocks his nerves like a live wire. Steve pulls away before he can deepen the kiss into anything more than a short pec. His eyes snap open, he doesn't remember closing them, and are met with the endless ocean of Eddie's deep brown irises. Dilated pupils search his face in an uncoordinated manner, as Steve's throat clicks with dry swallow.

" Sorry, I- shit, I should've asked first, I'm so sorry."

Steve begins to retreat from Eddie's personal space before a firm hand clamps down on his biceps, keeping him place. With a sloppy grin pulling at his face, he shuffles back into the minute distance between them. His hand snaking up to cup at Steve's jawline.

"Y' can't just stop right b'fore I can kiss y'back, Stevie."

Eddie relocks their lips, moving Steve's jaw in time with his own. Desperate hands finding purchase where ever than can, as two of them melt into the floor together, their bodies like syrup in the others arms.

Day 4 - Trade

Steve and Eddie share a wardrobe at this point. A yellow crew neck made its way into Eddie's regular rotation of flannel shirts and jackets. A denim battle jacket lives on the desk chair in Steve's room. There's been one or two times when they've worn each other shirts by accident; Robin had asked him five times if he could name at least one Iron Maiden song, and Eddie has begun avoiding anything with a collar like the plague after the ribbing he received at the garage.

Day 5 - Reunion

In the year 2007, Corroded Coffin is one of the biggest metal bands in the US, sold out headliners across the country, and 'Eddie Munson' is now a household name. He wouldn't exactly say that 'early 40's middle-school gym teachers' are their target audience, but at the last stop of their tour in Chicago, it's no surprise when a familiar face makes his way to the front of the VIP signing after the show. It's less of a surprise when Eddie finds himself in possession of a new phone number and a coffee date next Sunday.
