"One, two, three, four and five!” Counting down the steps of the new routine she just created, Cheng Xiao has been practicing since early in the morning. Her dedication and love for dancing showing off as she felt eyes of other students, sometimes gathering to watch the showcase of flexibility and acrobatics skills the young chinese girl had in her body.
Almost lunch time, it’s 10:30 am. Sweat already dripping down of her forehead, neck and back, her gray crop top sweater and black shorts pressed onto the pale skin. That didn’t stop her, Xiao kept reviewing and changing steps here and there in order to improve her recently self taught routine. Usual of her as the determined girl she is.
Cheering music coming out of the headphones plugged in her ears, legs and arms were moving along with it. A growl made her stop, her hand reach down to her stomach. “Oh, I think I should go eat something. I can't practice like this.” Cheng collected the bag and towel she had placed on a bench nearby before turning around and walking towards the exit. Stopping on her tracks as her gaze met a girl in a hoodie sitting down on a bench near the fountain while she smelled what it seemed to be a lit up stick. Curious as ever, the cheerleader walked closer to the strange girl. “Hello! It was you that I felt watching me the whole time? By the way, that smells delicious. What is it?” Her face lighting up with a sweet friendly smile.

even after a year of attending the school, chaeyoung still finds herself getting lost on campus. she’s tired of this by now. all she wanted was to see what the university campus looked like, quieter than the high school campus considering the plethora of students in the high school program, desiring to take in the sights that hope’s peak has to offer.
but now, after an hour of struggling to find her way back out of the campus, she settles into a bench in front of a fountain out of exhaustion. she can already feel the jitters spreading throughout her body and immediately whips out an incense stick, lavender-scented this time, and snaps the lighter to life to light it. the wisps of lovely-smelling smoke already brings her back into serenity, and she closes her eyes to take it all in and sense the spirits attracted to her call.
then she opens them again, seeing a girl posing and practicing not too far away from where she is. she blinks once, twice– silently watching the ultimate student practice her moves. an ultimate dancer? idol? whoever she is, chaeyoung quietly accepts her presence, letting the incense burn down to nothingness while watching her in her seat.
The younger girl wasn’t used to such harsh words from other people, always surrounded of sweet and considerate friends or even strangers who saw her as a small bunny that needed to be taken care of. Something that often made her feel useless, like a child when she was already legally an adult. “You need to get yourself together, Cheng. Don’t let it hurt you.”, she thought to herself. Gathering courage and patience, Cheng Xiao put on a polite smile before replying to the stylish woman in front of her. “...W-Well, I’m truly sorry my clothes don’t fit your standards, Miss. But I think we all have rights to dress however we want, don’t we? And yes, I need help to get to my dorm. Sorry for interupting you.”
Perhaps Sooyoung shouldn’t have spoken so soon, but she wasn’t one to filter her words unless it benefited herself. For a random young student, there was no need to pretend. “You think so?” she responded, giving her a once over before sigh, shaking her head, “Beauty standards have been seriously dipping of the late. What a shame – more people should be more aware of self presentation.” She made no attempt to hide her distaste at the younger’s attire and yet it didn’t come from a place of malice, she didn’t even know her after all, Sooyoung just found it genuinely shameful that people couldn’t dress themselves.
“Did you need help?” she asked, eyes still on her phone, “I’m kind of late to something.”
I’m alive, guys! Hopefully so will Cheng Xiao during the killing games, lol.
Sorry for being so inactive this week, my PC has been having some problems and so has my wifi connection. I hope to be more active now and plot with y’all!
Hello! Hello! I hope all of you have had a lovely first few weeks here at Trigger Happy, letting your characters make friendly and hostile bonds alike with the other students and faculty (not forgetting the alumni either!) and having an overall wonderful time. I see that there may be some who may be shy to start plotting with others, or just need that small jumpstart to get their muses going! Orrrr maybe you’ve already been plotting with others, but want something to encourage even more interaction with other characters. As requested, we’ll be doing our first meme to encourage activity! The chinese girl was just walking down one of the halls of the maze that is the Hope’s Peak Academy building, she needed to get to her dorm but, of course, she got lost in the way over. Her dark eyes lit up as they found a girl down the hall, happy to see someone who would help her out. The young cheerleader opened her mouth to ask her for directions but the short haired woman cut her off before she could even speak. “Um... W-w-hat do you mean with that? I’m wearing normal clothes...”, she replied as her gaze went down on the outfit she had on. “I think there’s nothing wrong with it...”

Sooyoung was too busy to care about the high schoolers even during off periods, but there was something about Cheng that always bothered her – perhaps the young girl was just too chirpy, too bright and too clingy. Or maybe these were just preconceived stereotypes that Sooyoung had in mind, much in thanks too watching the Bring it On series too many times. “Can’t you just… tone it down?” she groaned, “Wear a blazer or a maxi dress now and then. Something so you look like an actual lady.”
