Light Novel Contents: Gruvia Edition

I’ve had a lot of questions about the light novel. Since it’s in Japanese, my understanding is very, very limited. With the help of translation software and @chanting-to-u, I can at least attest that there are a few cute Gruvia interactions.

1) Juvia loses her clothing in a battle. Gray sees this and turns red. 2) Juvia eventually has to wear something else after losing said clothes. She ends up in a shell bra and a skirt that makes her look like a mermaid. She’s incredibly embarrassed. 3) Sensing her embarrassment from her lack of clothing, Gray offers his top/jacket. She gets excited by this, but eventually hands it back saying it’s “too soon”. 4) Lucy notes Juvia is upset about her outfit and tells her it suits her and that she looks like a mermaid princess (of which, she was trying to get Gray to compliment Juvia…atta girl,Lucy). Impressively, Gray gets the point and complements Juvia which makes her happy. 5) Later, Juvia gets scared about something and latches on to Gray. Of course, he tries to back up. Since she’s wearing a shell bra, he gets an arm full and clear view of boobs. He gets red again. 6) For those counting, that’s three events of Gray getting flustered over Juvia’s boobs. They aren’t together yet in this novel, but the dynamic is also somewhere between the old tsun and the “you’re mine” territory. 7) There’s also a clearly described dream sequence of a wedding. 8) Gray and Juvia are pretty much together the whole novel except when he becomes the naked king. Juvia comically finds out about this when the town throws Gray a parade.

This list is not exhaustive, and I’m pretty sure I’m missing stuff. As far as the other ships, I’m not sure what goes on.

EDIT 1: This isn’t after the ending of the manga. Gray doesn’t have his Alvarez scar. These light novels don’t particularly go anywhere in the timeline.

A glimpse of Shinsou’s past hidden in his theme song?

Okay……. I must warn you that this theory is kind of…. scary. BUT HEAR ME OUT!!

The official BNHA season 2 OST came out and I just had to look for Shinsou’s theme……….  And I found it. And let me tell you…………….. 

It’s creepy as hell.

I mean. There’s a constant humming in the background, some laughing and screaming sounds that seems to come from children?? And clock noises too….

I got curious and translated the title of the OST ‘’ Yonaka Ni Kiku To Kowai ‘’

And that’s when all the piece came together.

Yonaka Ni Kiku To Kowai means something like:

‘’ I am scared when I hear it in the middle of the night. ‘’

The ‘’ I ‘’ here…. Is Shinsou.

Shinsou is scared when he hears ‘’it’’ in the middle of the night… 

‘’ It ‘’ is all the noises you hear in the song. The laughing children, the bloody screams… That’s what he hears everytime he tries to sleep. And because of them, he just cannot sleep. That’s where his bags comes from.

The humming in the background must be his mother’s lullaby. Because he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night, she would sing him to sleep.
