yes, I read champions and it was a very cute read!! I love his friendship with Miss Marvel. It was very cute and I love that adult Scott still cherished their friendship. I am glad you enjoy how I draw him! He is a fun character to draw :)

Pretty sure Warren didn't have a date and just asked Scott out on an actual date under the guise of a "Double Date". If Scott would have accepted, they both would be dining alone, together.

The X-Factor issues dealing with Warren’s forced amputation of his wings are brutally sad in most ways, but these little moments of Bobby and Jean comforting each other as they prepare themselves to visit Warren and try to support him are quite heartwarming. Look at Jean and Bobby sprawled around the hospital room while poor Warren doesn’t even know yet that his wings are gone 😭

My favorite Cyclops characterization is when he's just an absolute dork of a man. Like, yeah, he's a brilliant strategist and competent leader but he's also eaten nothing but soup for the past five days, organizes his underwear by color, and acts either like a 40 year old man or a teenager with no in-between. Scott is an OCD/autistic man with everything together but his life and his brain is filled with nothing but battle strategy and Seinfeld reruns. Scott Summers is the world's smartest dumbass.

Every single character I like or even slightly relate to is some kind of non-verbal in my mind. That's just how it is.

Scott Summers? Talking is incredibly draining for him and he loses words fast. He's gotten better at it over the years but he still gets very stressed and sometimes angry if someone tries to talk to him when he is non-verbal. Has learned ASL and uses communication cards.

Alex Summers? Doesn't talk unless he find it incredibly important. Doesn't bother with AAC, if you don't know what he means through his body language then clearly you don't need to know what he is trying to communicate. Gets volatile when people try to make him speak. (Can you tell I hc the Summers brothers as having tempers? And being autistic. That's also important. In fact, their tempers and autism go hand in hand. I could make a whole separate post about this.)

Logan? Doesn't speak unless directly spoken to and will not answer stupid questions. Doesn't talk with more than a few words at a time unless he deems it necessary.

Charles Xavier? Finds verbal communication to be useless and somewhat constrained by human language, prefers to talk telepathically where he can also communicate through emotions and images.

Jean Grey? She has selective mutism caused by severe social anxiety.

I could do more but I'll keep it at here for now. This also goes for other fandoms too but I stuck to x-men cause, ya know, x-men blog. Anyway, if you want you guys should send me character and I will deem if they are some type of non-verbal and why.
