My mother, who had been fighting cancer for the past three years, passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning. She wasn't afraid to die, she told me she'd had an awesome life and felt she'd taught me and my brother everything she needed to. I'm very thankful that the last thing I got to say to her was "I love you."

Rest easy Mama, you're my hero, my rock, my best friend and I couldn't have possibly asked for a better mom in a million years. What you've given me will never die.

Taking a hiatus to be with my family during this really difficult time. Much love to all of you

Man I just wanted to give context to this piece and wrote a whole drabble fic lmao. TL;DR Bill falls asleep at Venuz's place, has a nightmare and remembers all the events he erased in the fic Flat Dreams (which is totally legendary and you should go read it right now). He is not at all prepared to handle it

I really love this piece and it's deeply personal to me. I've been in an art block and this finally not only restored my confidence in my abilities but served to vent some really, really hard emotions I've been feeling lately after my mother's passing.
