Authors Note: mentions of what the red room does to women. Also, I really wanted it to be known that Bucky wants to spend time with their daughter, I have a family member that considers watching his own daughter as babysitting and that’s just wrong. Its not babysitting if it’s your kid.

“Do you have to go?” Y/n whined sadly sitting on her mom’s bed, watching her pack a duffle bag full of essentials.

“I can’t stay this time sweetheart. I’m sorry.” Natasha apologized to her daughter. They had planned some mother and daughter time but this mission had to do with someone Natasha put away years ago. She hate’s when missions like this one come up, where she has to just leave immediately with no warning.

“Who will I be staying with this time?” Y/n asked swinging her legs off the side of the bed.

Nat sighed knowing that this was going to be not an easy one. Normally Wanda would watch over Y/n, but she had left yesterday on her own emergency mission. “I’ll tell you when I finish packing, ok?”

“Ok.” Y/n smiled up at her mom. 

Y/n is the child of Natasha Romanoff in an interesting way. The RedRoom decided that since Natasha was one of their best why waste the genes, so they froze her eggs before completing the “graduation” process. They kept it a secret, the RedRoom used their secret plan and put it into action not long after the battle of New York. That’s when they created y/n. Steve and Nat were on a mission a couple of years back when they had found out about the RedRooms little side project. All the Avengers helped and searched till they found Nat’s baby. All of them understanding that Nat couldn’t have more kids so they needed to help her get the only one she has back to her. It didn’t take more than a month or two before they found out where they were hiding her. After taking out everyone in the base, searching the rooms Natasha found a little 3 year old. Locked in a room with just a mattress and a blanket. Natasha immediately walked into the room squatting down to seem more friendly toward the little toddler, but as if on instinct the little girl just ran (as best she could) over to the redhead. Leaping into her arms, Nat wrapped her up tight holding her baby into her chest. Sadly for the first time. Ever since then, Y/n became part of the avengers little family, and Nat finally got to have her own little family. A child. A daughter.

“Be safe mommy.” Y/n added like she always does before her mom went on any mission.

“I will.” Natasha smiled at her daughter’s words. With that Nat lead Y/n out into the living room to eat lunch, once Y/n was happily eating and watching tv Nat left off in search of someone who could watch her while she’s gone. And she had the perfect person in mind.

Nat knocked on the door waiting for it to open, and once it opened she took a deep breath. “Hey, Bucky.”

Bucky was shocked to open his bedroom door and see Natasha there. He thought she had already left on her mission. And judging by the look on her face something wasn’t right. “Hey, Nat. What’s wrong?”

Nat shook her head. “Nothing wrong.”

Bucky laughed a small laugh letting out a huff of air. He knows her better than she thinks. Bucky leaned forward looking her right in the eyes. “That’s not what your eyes are saying.”

“I have to leave on an emergency mission, and I have no one to watch Y/n.” She knew Bucky knows her well but not that well. She’s a spy for goodness sake. “Look normally Wanda, Tony, or Clint would do it. But Clints not here, Tony’s at a fundraiser thing that Pepper wouldn’t let him out of, and Wanda had to leave on her own mission.”

Bucky reached out holding into Nat’s shoulders with an amused smile. “Nat, you can breathe. I’d love to watch her. I’m just shocked that you would ask me.”

“Why wouldn’t I?” Natasha asked with confusion. “Bucky, you’re her father.”

“Yeah, but Nat we’ve been introducing me slowly to her.” Bucky pointed out.

“She loves you Bucky.” Nat stated as fact to him. She could see how he was slightly nervous about watching their daughter. It’s not like has any reason to be nervous though. Y/n loves spending time with Bucky.

Bucky nodded. “Yeah but I’m still basically a stranger to her.”

“Well, it’s a good step. A bonding moment if you will.” Nat smiled at him. It seemed that her words helped Bucky relax some but not enough. “Relax Bucky. y/n already adores you. She’s going to love staying and hanging out with you for a couple of days.”

Bucky tilted his head, letting out a nervous laugh but he is relaxing a tiny bit. “Is it weird that I’m nervous and excited? I mean I don’t really know her as much as I should. But I’m also excited cause I do want to be in her life 24/7 and spend time with her.”

The time that Bucky has spent with their daughter he had enjoyed immensely. He wants to spend a lot more time with her, he just doesn’t want to mess it up.

Natasha could see it. In another life, her and Bucky together raising a kid together. Their kid.

It’s obvious to everyone how much Bucky cares about y/n and Natasha. How bad he feels that it all happened while he was the Winter Solider. Everyone could see how much effort he puts into making sure he doesn’t mess it up. The RedRoom had combined forces with HYDRA to create Y/n. The RedRoom’s best mixed with HYDRA’s best, the perfect spy and weapon. Thankfully for Y/n’s sake that never got to happen. Does she have the serum in her veins? Yes. Does she have Natasha’s abilities as well? Yes. But she didn’t have to go through either organization training methods or torture.

Not that either one has admitted it to the other and probably never will but both Natasha and Bucky could have seen this happening without the help of their ex-employers guess you could say. Bucky had helped train Nat, hell she could take him down easy. Both had somewhat of a fling with eachother around that time. Bucky was kept out of cyro long enough with training her that he had started to remember things, and with the help of Natasha, it was working. Sadly Natasha had already had her “graduation” ceremony in the RedRoom, so she couldn’t get pregnant but both like to believe that if it hadn’t already happened then that’s how Y/n would have been made. Granted she’d be older but still. It was a possibility.

Nat took a step closer to Bucky and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, giving him an appreciative smile. “You’ll do great, and thank you. I know it’s short notice.”

“Don’t need to thank me, Nat. Y/n/’s my baby girl too.” he shook his head, dismissing Natasha’s thanks. Bucky didn’t need to be thanked for watching over his own daughter. Y/n’s his little girl, spending time with her isn’t babysitting. He should be the one thanking Nat.

“So I’ll be with Bucky while you’re gone?” y/n asked to clarify her mom’s words. The two had sat their daughter down on the couch in the living room to talk to her about staying with Bucky while her mom was away. Y/n has never stayed with Bucky before, so the two adults were nervous about her reaction. Bucky more than Nat since Natasha knows how much y/n adores Bucky, and loves spending time with him.

“Yeah.” Nat nodded as she and Bucky sat down across from her on the coffee table.

“As long as that’s ok with you.” Bucky said, wanting to make sure this would be ok with her. That she was comfortable with their plan. If it wasn’t then they could work something else out. Even if that would break Bucky on the inside.

“YES!” Y/n jumped up onto the couch, jumping up and down chanting “YES”.

Natasha and Bucky watched her in shock for a second before both started to smile and laugh at her reaction.

“I take it you like this arrangement?” Nat asked her daughter through a laugh.

“YES! I LOVE Bucky!” Y/n stated, giving them a look that screamed ‘duh’ and excitement.

Nat looked over at Bucky with a raised eyebrow and a smile that said ‘I told you so’. While Bucky’s face lit up at their little girls statement. “I love you too y/n/n.” Buck stated, catching y/n as she jumped into Bucky’s arms.

Nat couldn’t help it as Bucky looked over at her, an she gave him the ‘I told you, you had nothing to worry about’. Natasha loved the view of Bucky and Y/n together. Father and daughter. One thing is for sure, that Natasha could leave on the mission and not worry about a thing.

All the swinging of the bat and the flying of bodies in the house it was definitely a huge mess now. Negan’s taunting was beginning to piss Rick off even more than normal.

“I’m gonna take Carl under my wing.” Negan spoke as he swung his bat again at Rick. “Reteach the kid. When I’m done with him he’ll be one of my top men!”

“Screw you!” Rick screamed at him.

“An that girl with him.” Negan smirked leaning back and letting out his famous whistle. “Oh yes! I know about her. I also found out a neat little detail about her. . . She’s a Dixon. And not just a Dixon- But my Daryl’s daughter!”

Rick couldn’t wrap his mind around it. They were so careful after Negan took such an interest in Daryl to keep Y/n hidden. How could Negan have found out about her? Daryl would never have spoken a word about her to any of Negan’s men. “I’m not gonna let you touch either of them!”

“Oh, I’m gonna get my hands on the both of them alright. I’m gonna train, reteach, and so much more.” Negan stalked closer towards Rick. “They’ll be my Top command. Carl will be a prince if you will, Y/n a princess. Since i’ the king. Those two will be like my very own kids.” he smirked.

“You’re never gonna lay your hands on either of them! I’ll make sure of it.” Rick stated before escaping a blow from the bat and out the window.

Rick had to find his group and fast. He had known Y/n as long as he had known Daryl. Having met both of them when he had found Laurie and Carl again during the beginning of this new world after he woke up. Hell y/n is like his own kid. Daryls his brother and he’d do anything for him. Their family, and Rick sure as hell is not gonna let Negan touch her or his son. Over his dead body.

“You excited today Bruce.” Tony asked clapping his hand together as Bruce entered the kitchen.

“Why would I be excited?” Banner asked

“Today’s the day your daughter comes to the tower.” Steve filled him in as the two sat down to eat lunch.

“It is?” Bruce asked looking around for confirmation.

“Yup” Tony smiled patting his back as he left the room.

“It’ll be ok.” Nat spoke softly rubbing her thumb over his knuckles.

It had been a couple of weeks since Y/n had started her internship. Everyone kept finding reasons to go down to the lab. Basically to spy on the two teenagers. A couple of the others had joined in on the bet about the two. Were they dating? Or not? The two hid it very well when others were around.

But even though Y/n had been going to the Avengers tower for weeks Bruce had yet to say anything. They had spoken but he hadn’t told her yet. He was nervous to. 

“She’s beautiful.” Nat stated. All the Avengers had stopped by the labs sometime during the last couple of weeks. All of them wanting to meet Banner’s mystery daughter. Nat had been spending the most time with Y/n. The two got along well, but Nat was  curious as to why she had gotten to know and was bonding with Bruces daughter more than him.

“She looks a lot like her mother.” Bruce stated sitting down on their bed.

Nat smiled looking back at him. “She must have been gorgeous.”

“Nat-” Bruce started, shaking his head trying to find the words.

Nat stopped him before he could go on. Walking over to him, standing in between his legs moving to cup his cheeks. “It’s ok to call her beautiful. I know I’m not the first woman you’ve been with.”

Bruce smiled gratefully at her understanding. “She was beautiful. The last time I saw her she was gorgeous.”

“Have you talked to her yet?” Nat asked him curiously. If things worked out like Bruce had hoped Nat would like to also be apart of Y/n’s life.

“No.”

“Why not?” she tilted her head. He just kept psyching himself out.

“What do I say to her? Hi I’m your dad sorry you never knew me?” he said with a slightly frustrated tone.

“I wouldn’t start with that.” Nat responded biting back a smile. “Its ok to be nervous. I’m sure she will be to once she knows.”

Bruce sighed “I just don’t know what to say.”

“You’re a genius, I’m sure you’ll figure it out.” Nat told him confiding in him.

“Hey, Pete can you pass me that?” Y/n asked him focused on finishing the specific piece of technology.

“Yeah, sure.” Peter nodded grabbing the utensil she has asked for. Then an idea popped into his head. “What do I get for it?”

Y/n turned her head to look at her long-time friend and boyfriend. Seeing the small smirk on his lips Y/n decided to play along. “You want something, Mr. Parker?”

Peter’s smirk turned into a wide smile. “Just a kiss.”

“Well that you can have.” Y/n smiled giggling as he rushed over to get his kiss.

“Mind if I interrupt?” Bruce asked walking into the lab, interpreting the two’s intimate moment. Maybe he should’ve contributed to the bet after all.

“No, not at all Doctor Banner.  Uhm, this is my friend Y/n.” Peter introduced the tow as they pulled away sheepishly.

“Nice to meet you.” Bruce smiled he hadn’t really talked to her one on one since she had started.

“Nice to meet you as well Doctor Banner.” Y/n nodded with a smile. She could feel her face heating up from being caught making out.

“Ummm, Peter. Think you could give me and y/n here a moment alone?” Bruce asked

“Y-yeah, yeah sure.” Peter nodded agreeing to give them some space. He could tell it must be serious by Dr. Banner’s face. Peter could also tell Y/n was now very nervous. “I won’t be far.” he stated under his breath so only she could hear. Peter leaned down to kiss her temple for reassurance.

“Did you need to talk to me about something?” y/n asked nervously after the door shut behind Peter.

“Yeah. Just probably not what you think.” Bruce answered grabbing the nearby desk chair. It’d be easier to have this conversation with both sitting down.

Y/n tilted her head. “I don’t understand.”

“Do you know who I am?” Bruce asked deciding to start with a simple question.

“Your Doctor Bruce Banner. Also known as the HULK.” Y/n answered, but she was alittle confused about the question. Wasn’t that obvious?

Bruce smiled letting out an airy laugh. Not exactly what he meant so he decided to reword. “Do you know who I am to you?”

“Uh, my superior?” she tried again raising a brow in question to what Bruce meant by his questions.

“No, no y/n. Ummm- wow I don’t know how to say this.” Bruce waved his hand, shaking them, that wasn’t what he meant. It was becoming more obvious to Bruce that she didn’t know about his and her’s relations.

“Take your time.” Y/n smiled at him. Waiting patiently for him to find the right words.

It took a while for Bruce to find the words to say what he wanted to say. But he did and he told her the truth. They sat there for a while, Y/n listened without interrupting. Once Bruce was finished he let her digest all of what he just said, waiting for her to ask him anything she wanted.

“So your my father?” y/n spoke more to herself than to anyone, trying to process the new information.

“Yeah.” Bruce confirmed, watching closely to see if he could find any clue as to how she felt about what he had just told her.

“An you didn’t know about me?” She asked with doe eyes looking up through her lashes.

Bruce shook his head giving her a sad smile. “No, I didn’t. If I had I would’ve been in your life somehow. But I also would’ve wanted to keep you safe and at the time not being anywhere near me would’ve been the safe option.”

Which was true around the time Y/n was born and growing up Bruce had just become the HULK and was trying to learn to control it. It would’ve been very dangerous to have a child around the HULK at that time.

“My mom never said who you were just that you were very smart and a good guy.” Y/n told him with a soft smile talking about her mom. Y/n then started to nervously ring her fingers together, nervous about asking her next question. And what his answer might be. “Could we possibly get to know eachother? Now that we know of the other?”

“I would like that.” he smiled. “Maybe we could get together and talk? You, me and your mom.”

Y/n looked down once he finished. She was happy about his answer but getting together with her mother, that would be kind of hard. “We kinda can’t.”

“Why not?” Bruce questioned with a tilt of his head.

“She’s dead.”

“Will you put me down!” Y/n screamed out laughing as Bucky threw her over his shoulder. Y/n guessed that he was taking her to either his or her room. He’d been gone on a mission for way longer than planned, and while on said mission all Bucky could think about was coming back to his girl.

“Nope.” he smirked, avoiding all the others watching his actions in the common room. Just completely focused on having Y/n in arms reach. Or closer.

“Why not!” she exclaimed, still laughing.

“Because.” Bucky shrugged, not really caring to give an answer as he adjusted her weight.

“I want an answer solider.” Y/n grunted at the shifting of her body Bucky had done. But she just started giggling again. “Bucky!”

“You’ve been busy.” he grumbled as he tried to open the door without losing his hold on her. Bucky knew he should’ve put her over his metal arms shoulder.

Y/n scoffed, amused with his answer. She wasn’t the only one. “So have you!”

“I know.” Bucky nodded, setting her down gently on his bed. He knew that the lack of time together wasn’t just on her. But being honest he mostly blamed Fury and Tony. For giving each of them so many missions. “I just- I want to spend time with you. That's all.”

Y/n smiled up at him standing before her at the end of his bed. Y/n reached out to pull him closer. “Well, good news for you. I want to spend time with you as well. I’ve missed you.”

“I’ve missed you too.” Bucky mirrored her smile, reaching out to hold her as well. Now they had time together, alone. And they're not going to waste a minute of it.

So proud of Jon for wanting to get help for something he doesnt even have a problem with yet. He just wants to make sure he never gets to that place. An I bet its because of his baby girl and wife. great man 

“I’ll spend all my time out here listening to you guys chant for him right now because it’s important. It’s important to me. “Hey there Gorgeous.” Billy winked as he came up and leaned against the locker next to Y/n’s.

“Billy.” Y/n glanced at him, flashing him a smile. “How are you? What’s up?”

Billy and Y/n had been assigned seating and project partners months ago for 3 of their classes. They had a playful acquaintance relationship. Neither really know each other all that well but they joked and were a little touchy with each other.

Billy, he felt an odd sense of calm and comfort when around Y/n. He wants more than anything to get to know her. She brings him a happiness that he doesn’t get to have often if at all.

Y/n, she believes Billy’s attitude is all an act. Something he does to protect himself. She’d love to be able to help him be his true self all the time.

Guess you could say they both have a crush on eachother.

“I’ve been better.” Billy gave a sad smile. He always tells her the truth, he doesn’t go into detail to much but he has never told her he was ok when he wasn’t.

“I’m sorry to hear that.” She grimaced at him. Wishing she could make it better for him.

“Don’t be. What about you?” Billy shook his head in dimiss of what he had just said.

“Me?” Y/n furrowed her brow looking up at him.

“Yeah,you.” he nodded smiling at her face all scrunched up together.

“I’m ok.” Y/n turned to look back into her locker, admiring eye contact with the dirty blonde.

“Why is a girl like yourself just ‘ok’?” This time it was Billy who furrowed his brow in question. Y/n avoiding eye contact was unusaland in concerned him.

Y/n shook her head glancing at him for a second giving him a small smile. But it didn’t reach her eyes. “It’s nothing Bill-”

“I know I can come off as a sleazy asshole but, you can talk to me. About anything.” Billy moved closer towards Y/n. There was barely any space left between the two of them.

Y/n turned to fully face him and let out a sigh. “Its nothing really, Billy. Steve’s going on a field trip that is overnight, and I just don’t like being alone in our house is all.”

“What about your parents?” he asked concerned. This was clearly an uncomfortable situation to her.

“Their barely ever home as it is. They’re gone on a business trip. Again.” she shrugged. Its not a new thing. Steve and her were use to being alone, to taking care of and basically raising themselves. But with her brother gone, Y/n didn’t want to be fully alone.

“What if I came over and kept you company?” Billy suggested. This could be just the opening he wanted and needed to get closer to her. An if she needed comfort he’d gladly provide it.

“Billy, you don’t have to do that. I’ll be fine. I am a big girl.” Y/n stared at him with wide eyes. She couldn’t ask him to do that. But if he really wanted to she wouldn’t say no, she’ll just have to hide it and keep it from her brother. Plus it would be nice to get to know Billy better. Become closer.

“I know, but even big girls can use protection, and company.” Billy nodded, giving her a smile with a hint of a smile. “Plus it’ll give us time to talk and get to know each other. What do you say?”

“Fine, fine. The company would be nice.” Y/n smiled back. She couldn’t deny that she’d like to have his company.

“Great. See you tonight, sweetheart.” he winked and straightened up heading off.

“See you then, Bily.” she nodded watching as Billy entered one of his classes that they didn’t have together. Which she found odd considering he normally didn’t show up to those. Then again he was never how people described him when around her.

“Hey!” Y/n greeted as she swung open the door after having heard the doorbell ring. Not that she hadn’t heard his car's engine coming down the street.

“Hi” Billy smiled widely upon laying his eyes on the y/h/c-ed girl.

“Oh, right. Come in.” Y/n looked embarrassed and felt so in that moment as they just stood in the doorway. “Sorry.”

“No, no it’s fine.” Billy laughed at her shyness and embarrassment. Billy entered the Harrington household as Y/n moved aside to let him in.

With that the two teenagers spent the rest of the day and early evening watching movies, eating snacks, joking and just talking. Something they hadn’t been able to do much of at school or anywhere else. And if they both were being honest with themselves they were enjoying their time together emenacly.

“You know my brother would kill us if he saw this.” Y/n smiled at Billy with mischievous eyes.

“Oh, I’m sure.” he nodded in agreement. Billy looked down wringing his fingers. “He doesn’t like me that much.”

“I’ll tell you flat out.” Y/n laughed pointing to Billy which got him to look up and at her. “He thinks you're a dick.”

With that said Y/n and Billy burst out in fits of laughter. After it died down and the two were catching their breath, Billy shifted and asked. “What about you? What do you think of me?”

Y/n shifted as well to look at the muscular boy in front of her. She lifted an eyebrow in shock. “You really want to know?”

Billy nodded. “Yes, I do.”

“Ok.” Y/n nodded and bit her cheek before answering. “I don’t think your that much of a dick. I think Tommy’s the bigger dick. I do, however, think your a bit of a womanizer.”

That hurt Billy to hear. But at the same time he knows thats how he can come across. Hell, it’s been part of his whole act since he came into town. What else could he expect?

“I see your point. I will let you know, I am trying to change my womanizing ways.” Billy nodded in understanding, sitting up from his laying down position to face her. Lightening up the tension in the room Billy smirked before saying… “As for the dick part.I agree with you about Tommy being the bigger dick.”

“When Steve and him were “”friends””.” Y/n smirked back letting out a chuckle at Billy’s words. “He was horrible!” she exclaimed with her arms.

“Well he’s the same if not worse now.” Billy laughed, nodding in agreement.

“Noted.” Y/n nodded making sure to remember that.

“What would you say to doing this for real?” Billy asked, casting his glance down to the floor, nervous to hear what she might say.

“Doing what?” Y/n tilted her head in question as to what exactly the mullet haired boy ment.

“Would you go out on a date with me?” he clarified looking up and into her eyes with a soft expression that no one really ever get’s to see on his face.

“I would love to.” Y/n smiled at him, and let out a giggle at the shock that appeared across his face. “But, I’m telling you right now. I’m not gonna sleep with you Hargrove. Not on the first date.”

“You're gonna make me work for it aren’t you?” Billy smiled, letting out a laugh. But being honest with himself he would wait forever just as long as he got to have her next to him.

“Most definitely.” Y/n smirked and sent a wink his way as she took a sip of her drink.

“Ok then. Game on.” Billy copied her expression. He is just glad that she’s going to give him a chance. Her brother and anyone else be damned.
