If the theory that Cheng Xiaoshi also dived back in time during his and Lu Guang's basketball match, then I am so full of dread that means that he is going to die for real. I can't see him being alive if that's true, but I can totally see it being true.

Just...the fact that if it's true, he clearly didn't stay in the past long, and clapped out not long after. He only dived back to have that game of basketball with his new, old friend, and to say how precious it is to be with trustworthy partners in this life. He didn't dive back with intentions like Lu Guang did to change the past. He would have done it only to say something kind to his friend.

I just. I can picture a scene where Cheng Xiaoshi, realizing what is coming for him, and what he cannot avoid, echoing that one scene in S1 where he covers the walls around him with photos he had taken with Lu Guang. And then he dives into each one, one after the other in quick succession. But instead of using it to get the upper hand in a fight, he's diving in so he can give his best friend some love throughout the years, one last time, to give him lasting soft memories that will carry and comfort him in the future--much like Chen Xiao. And then just like that, he leaves.

Dive. Love you, Lu Guang. Dive. You're my best friend, Lu Guang. Dive. I'm so glad I got to be your friend. Dive. Thank you. Dive. Goodbye. I don't want to leave you without saying goodbye.

Kang wants to be acknowledged

Kanghan is always watching Sailom.

Kanghan is always looking at Sailom.

Kanghan is always glaring at Sailom.

Yet Sailom doesn't ever look back at Kanghan.

Sailom looks in front of him each time.

He doesn't acknowledge Kanghan's presence.

Because he knows that Kanghan wears a mask, and he refuses to acknowledge that fake person Kanghan hides behind, so Sailom only looks Kanghan in his eyes when he is being his authentic horrible self.

When Kanghan is being honest, Sailom matches his energy.

Because he sees Kanghan for who he really is, not the bullshit he lets everyone else see.

But even more, Sailom smiles.

He smirks at Kanghan.

He laughs at Kanghan.

He refuses to look at Kanghan when he is faking it, but will smile at Kanghan when he is being his worst.

So imagine being Kanghan who always looks at Sailom, yet Sailom never looks back. Imagine never having your presence acknowledged by Sailom when you are pretending to be nice, only for him to look at the worst parts of you and smile. He knows that it's because Sailom doesn't take him seriously and that he is a joke to Sailom. But imagine.

Imagine holding that boy while he cries and clings to you when you originally planned to go to his house to make him take you seriously any way you could even if it meant holding a gun to his head.

Sailom said Kang's name, but he never looked at him. He kept his eyes closed tight. He looked straight ahead. He was disassociating. Even when Kang asked him questions, Sailom didn't respond.

So, once again, imagine being Kanghan. Sailom does not acknowledge him when he is being disingenuous, and here he is not responding to him. He came to Sailom's house to make Sailom see him for who he really is, and now Sailom won't even look at him.

And Kang hates that. He is watching Sailom as always, and all he wants is Sailom to acknowledge him. To look at him. To see him.

Sailom always looks at Kang and smiles at him when he is at his worst, so what can he do to make this boy look at him now when he is at his worst?

What Sailom wants him to do - be honest.

Because Kanghan realized he wants to keep seeing that boy smile, and he wants to be the reason.

Even if he has to force Sailom to take him seriously.
