OK, So I Know I'm Late To This And Someone Else May Have Already Pointed This Out....but What If 'mushroom

OK, so I know I'm late to this and someone else may have already pointed this out....but what if 'mushroom planet' is actually 'mushroom zone' located on Angel island meaning if he had left Earth he would be back on his home planet just in the sky and it's down on his map as another world because it's hard to reach without wing's, flight or a plane/helicopter. It could be down as that because of how big Angel island is. So Robotnik left there for how ever long eventually ran into Knuckles and found the Master Emerald like that. Sorry if I've rushed my explanation or if someone else has already thought of this but yeah crossed my mind after reading a fanfic of Amy getting glasses and going to see areas of Angel island and it mentioned mushroom zone and this clicked.

Sometimes I wonder if Maria and Gerald are hanging in the after life watching Shadow and they’re keeping an eye on him but also making commentary on his life in general. Maybe not all the time, but they pop in occasionally just to check in on him and watch him. Initially, I thought this would be sweet, but knowing the kind of shenanigans Shadow and his associates get into, I imagine that Maria and Gerald have spent a lot of their time in the after life just shaking their heads or putting their face in their hands.
