Seriously when can we get these two interacting againnnn

Rewatching the miraculous awakening moving and I realised why Marinette fell in love with Adrian.

It wasn't just because he's a pretty boy (although that may have helped). It's because he was different.

Every single person was out in the halls. He was by himself in the library, and aside from her the library was empty. Adrian being there on his own made him different.

Why is this important? Because Marinette herself feels like she doesn't fit in, she's different. She doesn't have any friends up until she meets Alya. She's alone. She's been made fun of her whole life. How much are you willing to bet that she's spent a lot of time hiding in the school library on her own?

So then this time when she meets Adrian, she sees he's alone. He's not making fun of her. He's quiet. In essence, he's different to the others.

And that's something Marinette probably hasn't seen much of. She's used to being the one who's different, not seeing someone who's different. And maybe she could even see his loneliness. He was definitely clearly depressed.

That's what attracted her to him. Not because she made eye contact with a pretty boy, but because he was also like her: different and lonely.

All we can all hope for. If it is Emily and not Amily and the script didn't change after it was leaked as well.

Here's hoping that Emily is a way better parent to Adrien than Gabriel ever was.

Hopefully she doesn't try to stop Adrien and Marinette from being together.

Hopefully she lets Adrien have friends over and maybe even sleepovers.

Hopefully she loves Marinette's designs and asks her to make her something.

Hopefully all she wants is for her son to be happy.
