it's just another case of mojang never actually listening to the concerns of jews: we tell them there's antisemitic themes surrounding the villagers as a whole - they never fucking get redesigned or updated. we tell them "hey the golem is exclusive to our culture and beliefs, can you not find another name for them?" and they go ahead and make a second mob with that name that is, again, exclusive to judaism

and i'm not like...mad at people for liking the mob, i just wish it was a much bigger conversation in the community and that people actually listened when we speak up - because we've been talking about this for years, before notch was kicked from the company

(not to mention, this fandom can accuse people of antisemitism left and right, but when we actually speak up about something it's silence from all sides)
