There is so much mutual respect and care between the three of you—and it’s intimidating to be in a relationship with two of the Hidden Leaf’s strongest family’s heirs, but nothing about Neji or Shikamaru would make you feel like you don’t belong. They make it very clear from the beginning that they care about you. 

Neji helps you meditate, Shikamaru helps you be lazy. There’s a clear difference, and sometimes you can meditate and be lazy with the both of them. You are the one that introduces the antics in the relationship, and though sometimes they’ll frown and grumble, they’re never truly bothered by it. 

Neji and Shikamaru are different branches off the same tree, and you are the sun that caresses them awake after a long winter. Sometimes people often wonder how the three of you get along, but it just works. Neji is the person that wakes up first, goes to sleep first, you and Shikamaru are the ones that cuddle at night, and when Neji turns over in his sleep to nestle against you, it completes the picture. 

The three of you go back and forth between bullying one another. It’s like you’ve got a system down, and to anyone else they might be stumped, like “what the hell is happening and how the hell did it begin??” 

It’s really relaxing seeing Shikamaru and Neji huddling together, and they always accept you with open arms when you throw your arms around their necks in a hug. 

Their love languages are different. Shikamaru’s is probably physical contact and food, whereas Neji’s might be something like acts of service and words of affirmation. It’s a good balance to have between the three of you.
