While looking for another GIF I stumbled upon this wonderful moment here, so I decided to post it here. Love the happiness and joy it radiates. BTS have always brought me so much joy, but it somehow progressively faded over the years. The reason were those neverending fanwars and fights on Twitter (It'll never be X for me.). So a few weeks ago, I deleted my account there . In the beginning I felt like I was missing out on things somehow. Now I'm so happy I deleted Twitter because I found so many great TK accounts here on Tumblr. (And compared to Twitter it is really nice and quiet over here. Love that.)

I hope that I'm starting to really enjoy being a Taekooker and being ARMY again. ❤️💜

It's been a battle that we've seen, and he's spoken about it, but every day, I'm thankful that Tae seems to have such a strong mental fortitude.

My wish for him is to have all his dreams realized, big or small! They've done so much to try and dull his shine, but we are still blinded ✨️ every time he creates, sings, dances, acts, etc.

one of my favourite things about tumblr is how it's all lovingly handpicked. there's no algorithm forcing things onto your feed, but instead long chains of mutuals and followers passing posts around simply because they liked it and ooh, maybe you might like it too. the entire website runs on people's sheer love of other people's posts and it's probably the best thing about this website. at least it's definitely the reason that this place feels more like a community than any other social media.

Absolutely agree. It's hard to pick. (I picked the Dream premiere though. That day had me making whale noises at work.)

I'd add the infamous "mom/pop dress up" vacation and how Tae spilled the beans eventually to that list as well.

I don't know if I can explain how emotional I feel right now. Imagine standing up for someone when you couldn't stand up for yourself. Knowing how petty company can be, knowing how your words will be twisted to form other party's narratives, knowing he might get hate from his own fandom. This just says he speaks for people who can't speak for themselves and he chose integrity over money. I love him so much 💜❤️.

Just wondering if your super sleuthing skills can clear up if it was indeed possible for JK to be at this club with Tae. Comments have some saying it was impossible because he had covid. Do we know when it was filmed? Was JK covid free and in the same zone when it was filmed?

What information do we have?

🕺It's a club in Las Vegas.

🛫 Jungkook flew to US for some "preparations" 27th March. Wonder if this was to do with quarantining.

🛫 Rest of BTS flew for PTD in Las Vegas and Grammy Awards on 28th March 2022 without JHope. (JHope posted himself leaving for LV on 2nd April 2022 and himself arriving in the daytime.)

😷 Bighit announced JK had been cleared to leave quarantine on 2nd April 2022 and was okayed to perform at Grammys.

🐻 Tae posted that club video on the morning of 2nd April 2022 but the video seems to be from the night before. He was not in attendance with Yoongi, RM and Jimin at Silk Sonic on the 1st (as per Bruno Mars insta) and people online were laughing that he had gone to the jazz club instead of Silk Sonic.

😷 On 2nd April, Bighit announces JK can go out after a negative covid test and JK instagrams that he "can go out!" and "photosynthesize"! Aww.

🎶 Hobi then arrived on 2nd and attended Silk Sonic that night with Tae and JK.

💜 They all attended Grammys on 3rd April.

🫴 So... As J-Hope arrived on the 2nd, Jin was recovering from finger surgery, RM, YG and JM were at Silk Sonic and Jungkook was in a hotel formally quarantining until 2nd, Tae seems to have been at the club by himself on the 1st.

📸 But someone is filming him. Someone says his name. The patrons of the club are older and maybe less likely to know who they are. Could be Jin as the only person available or allowed out but it doesn't sound like him. Could be staff.

🫴 In conclusion? Formally? Officially? On the record? The date and COVID announcements suggest it's not Jungkook with him. He was in the same city but not formally COVID free.

It's easy to make a guess that it wasn't entirely about disbanding but ultimately to me it doesn't matter if Yoongi was saying "I love you, be happy together" or "I just found this great new snack bar you need to try!"

What's important to me in this story, and the bit that gets left out in non-TK Land, is that whatever they were going through, they were going through it together. To the point of receiving the texts in the same room according to Joonie.

And normally I'd be gently suspicious of stories that get repeated so often, wondering what agenda they're selling, but I don't think the stories aren't true. Just that they're convenient. Suga hyung's long text is a really nice story that frames what sounds like a pretty shitty disbandment time as something they overcame as a group.

A couple of things I like from these clips that make me think it might have been a little more about them being together:

💜 How Tae looks when Jungkook says he was the other guy who received the text. He has this beautiful smile (and is the only one at the table completely unsurprised) and Jungkook smiles back at him. We know from Joon's comment elsewhere that they were together but Tae presents it initially as he received a text. That feels interesting because he keeps JKs involvement under wraps until JK wants to talk about it.

💜 And delulu I may be, and possibly preaching to the converted, but I am convinced Tae is looking at JK off camera here. CONVINCED:

I was thinking yesterday... the Summer 2024 Revelations™ have been so fun to experience because although we already knew "distant/awkward" was a nonsense, "tae is a clout chaser and a liar" was just anti-speech and "JK isn't into this at all" was desperation, it's been a couple of months of pretty definitive lines being drawn through those tired arguments. Like a systematic unpicking of the threads.

No matter what happens from this point, those things are dead in the water. Vindication for Tae and JK's character and for Taekook's closeness has always kind of been what I hoped for most and *waves hand* there you go.
