All Of Your Characters! Rose, Daisy, Jasmine, Magnolia.

All of your characters! Rose, Daisy, Jasmine, Magnolia.

Milli

Rose - Too much and too often. Milli is in love with Jack and Tom both, still. She was close to love with Cia and Ains, but both relationships ended too soon to fully come to fruition. Now, Milli sees that as something of a blessing. Love has been cruel to her of late.

Daisy - Thirteen years old. And he was far too old to be a boy.

Jasmine - Whether it looks best on her or not, she prefers browns and dark purples.

Magnolia - Apple suckers. She just doesn’t indulge anymore. For reasons.

Havelock

Rose - He doesn’t admit it even to himself, but he’s in love with Livinia.

Daisy - When he was seventeen. Yes, a boy.

Jasmine - Blue and black, light the highlights of his hair.

Magnolia - Black licorice. It’s strong and covered the scent of gunpowder and blood very well when he was a soldier. He still prefers it when he’s nervous or stressed.

Caoimhe

Rose - Nope, never been in love. Sounds like fun. Good for a laugh!

Daisy - She was nine and she stole a kiss from a boy in a tavern. She also nicked his coin purse.

Jasmine - Blues and greens that bring out her aqua eyes.

Magnolia - Peppermints. Sweet and fresh.

Aurie

Rose - Not in love at this time.

Daisy - Fourteen years old. He was older and of noble blood. It was the latter that made it exciting.

Jasmine - Right now? Nothing looks good on her. Her skin is too wan and covered in freckles, her hair a wretched shade of orange that clashes with everything.

Magnolia - Flavored ices, the kind served at noble gatherings.

Though she'd only seen it (and had it used upon her) once before, Milli felt she had done a good job of replicating the toy. But she was thoroughly mortified at the thought of selling it. Or showing it to anyone. So it stayed in her house.

In the drawer next to her bed.

Most of the time, anyway.

Be comforted in the fact that the ache in your heart and the confusion in your soul means that you are still alive, still human, and still open to the beauty of the world, even though you have done nothing to deserve it. And when you resent the ache in your heart, remember: You will be dead and buried soon enough.

“Sink” from Dexten

She had no running water in her house, so any time she had dishes that needed washing or her clothes were finally too disgusting to continue wearing, Milli had to go to the inn next door and pay a few coppers to use their sink. She'd argued she should get it for free since she was renting the house from them, but the owner insisted that the sink fee was extra.

It was also a luxury that she could only take advantage of while the inn's kitchen was closed. So the nights not spent busy at her workbench were spent washing clothes and dishes.

She hadn't been responsible for such things for a very long time. Her adoptive mother, while completely out of it most of the time, still had enough of her mind left to keep the house clean and tidy, to wash clothes and dishes. Having to relearn skills at age 22 that she'd only begun to master at age six was disturbing and odd.

Washing also gave her time to think. This was sometimes good. Mostly, though, it was bad. She couldn't distract herself with her work because she couldn't doodle in her notebook. Sometimes thoughts of her lovers could distract her, but lately only one brought her any real pleasure.

So she was left with the worries and deep fears that attached themselves to one's mind and didn't let go. Fears of being taken again, kidnapped. Hurt and left to die. Becoming a burden to those she cared about to the point that they stopped caring about her. Being left alone.

It was the last, the deepest, that often sent Milli scurrying from the kitchen with a half-clean bucket of dishes, anxious for anything to distract her troubled mind.
