Watch Millennium Actress Onlinefor Freeand Legally!

Watch Millennium Actress online…for free…and legally!

Following up on his highly acclaimed animated psychological thriller Perfect Blue, Satoshi Kon spins this mystery about a documentary filmmaker and a legendary actress.

The plot: In honor of Gin Ei studios 70th anniversary, a small production house run by Genya Tachibana is selected to make a commemorative documentary. Genya decides to focus his film on actress Chiyoko Fujiwara, a massive star who at the height of her popularity retreated from public life. Accompanied an eager young cameraman, Genya doggedly tracks her down to discover her living a hermit-like life of charmed isolation. He also learns that in spite of her advanced age, she has lost little of her famed charm or elegance. As he interviews her, Genya learns of Chiyoko’s troubled past and eventually the reasons for her sudden retirement.

Released in the states in 2003, Millennium Actress remains the late Kon’s most critically praised film, but it’s possible you haven’t gotten a chance to see it. You can fix that now if that’s the case, as Paramount Pictures has just released the entire movie on YouTube for free. It’s an  easy and convenient way to catch this beautiful film (so long as you don’t mind watching it on a computer screen or mobile device).

Hey look!

Margot’s got her own character bio. It’s like she’s an actual person. Sort of. You know, in that character kind of way.

So if anyone’s interested in interacting with a soldier and noblewoman of Ebonhawke who might be a little bit socially awkward and excessively stubborn, give me a poke :).

Gonna jump on this bandwagon here. It is awful that so many people have bad experiences with their parents. My father was kind and loving and protective and intelligent and funny and a fucking asshole if you messed with his family. My husband is such a good man, too. Even my ex-husband, while flawed, isn't a bad man. I know I'm lucky. And to those that haven't been, I can't help but apologize. The people around you have failed you in a fundamental way. It's not your fault and I don't blame you for your poor perceptions of men. I hope you one day have a friend or lover who treats you like you deserve to be treated, like a human being who loves and respects you. But I also see why you might not go looking for that.

i just came to the conclusion that having a shitty father is such a universal experience bc society lets men be shitty and go unchecked for so long that by the time they have kids they dont know how to be a decent person or care about how anything affects anybody but themselves
