Heartslabyul X Yuu Hits Different. With Every Other Dorm, I Think Yuus Connection To Them Is Debatable

Heartslabyul x Yuu hits different. With every other dorm, I think Yuu’s connection to them is debatable as the main story usually only focuses on the conflict between the boys with Yuu being a vehicle to drive the main plot forward and let us watch it happen.

But, with Heartslabyul, even though the same thing could be argued here, because of Yuu’s connection to Ace and Deuce - who are the main focuses of the first chapter along with Riddle - it makes their connection to Heartslabyul as a whole more compelling.

It’s implied through Ace and Deuce’s voice lines(really the voice lines of pretty much all five of them) that Yuu regularly gets invited to their frequent Unbirthday parties. This plus the fact that Heartslabyul was the first dorm they ever had a proper encounter with just makes me think that Yuu is almost like an honorary Heartslabyul member.

Hell, one of Riddle’s dorm uniform voice lines is him instructing Yuu to respond to him with “Yes, Housewarden,” you can’t tell me he doesn’t unconsciously see Yuu as one of them.

Twisted Wonderland Game Guide Magic Archives II: released today!! Quick observations for those who wish to know what kind of content is inside:

If you are familiar with the first volume you know that there are detailed visuals and notes pertaining to each of the overblot forms, but only from Riddle to Jamil.

In MA-II there are similar details for Vil and Idia's overblot forms, but not for Malleus!

(We know that Malleus' notes exist as they were on display at the Twst Exhibition 👀 But they have not been included in this volume!)

Addition character design details provided for Neige, the dwarves, Ambrose, and college gear Ortho.

There is also an illustration by Yana on the thunder spear, showing how it is held, with Riddle and Azul wielding it together as an example!

Much like the first volume it consists largely of gameplay information. In the first volume there is then character visuals and notes by Yana, and this time there is a large gallery of sprites of all characters for all events, up to Tamasha Muina / Playfulland!

I'm re-reading a book I wrote 8 years ago (in preparation for writing the sequel) and it's been so long that I straight up forgot basically ALL the plot twists and secrets so I'm like WHAATT. OH MY GOOODDDD NO WAAYYYy every few pages, and just absolutely living. Sometimes the most important part is to write a book you enjoy reading.

you ever think about how jack came to help ortho out of his funk in the fairy gala remix event? the same person who, days before, was entirely willing to let night raven college freeze to death? the same person who decided to help ace and deuce from their eternal, fishy servitude to octavinelle when there was nothing in it for him?

you ever think about how the first-years were the first ones to embrace ortho after he became a student?

you ever think about how deuce only entered into the sdc auditions because he thought someone needed to look out for epel?

you ever think about how ace was the first person willing to stand up to vil for epel since coming to night raven college?

you ever think about how yuu is always willing to help the first-years, no coercion from crowley required?

you ever think about how much the first-years care about each other, even if they don't know how to say that?

(you ever think about how they're still night raven college students, no matter how much they care? how they'd probably just let the world burn if it meant they'd survive, but they'll still look out for each other even if the world reeks of gasoline?)

you ever think of that?
