Hmm For Engineer, Maybe Him With A Captain On The New Planet? Basically Life After The Events Of ISWM.
Hmm for Engineer, maybe him with a captain on the new planet? Basically life after the events of ISWM. Could have some PTSD from both parties and comforting each other through it all.
A/n: EATING THIS REQUEST WHOLE, dude this was such a cute prompt! I really enjoyed writing this one
Synopsis: After the events of ISWM, Mark and the Captain are trying desperately to forget what they had experienced on the ship, but their past is catching up to them rather quickly
Warnings: Mentions of hallucinations, unhealthy coping mechanisms

After the events on the ship you and Mark had undoubtedly been traumatized, whether you had realized it or not there would be long lasting effects of what you had been subjected to.
Regardless of the things you had experienced, you desperately wanted to forget everything that had happened, but it seemed as though it wouldn’t be as easy as you initially had hoped.
You had moved on to directing the construction of the new colonies, while Mark had been there alongside you working to build a civilization from the ground up.
You had been kept busy for months, with news of the progress of the building while you had helped solve problems that colonists were having while settling in, you felt it was necessary to keep yourself busy, to keep your mind from drifting to darker corners of your mind, things you needed to forget.
You arrived home, slamming the door with a sigh as you slumped from the doorway cracking your joints with a pleasing hum as you began to set up your work on the kitchen counter, laying out the blueprints you needed to review and approve as well as complaints you had collected from Cici.
This would undoubtedly take more than a couple hours to finish, but well you were already tired, so you made a promise that you wouldn’t stay up for too long.
Your eyes fluttered open groggily, you groaned at the sudden light that flooded your vision.
You rubbed your eyes trying to adjust to the overwhelming light.
“Enjoy your nap Cap’n?” you knew that teasing nickname. You lazily turned your head up to the engineer, a warm smile spread across his face.
“Mark? What are you doing? What time is it?” you asked, your voice still heavy with sleep as you stretched your back out and pushed yourself away from the counter, covered with unfinished sheets and documents.
“It’s about ten-thirty-seven, and way past your bedtime. What were you even doing down here?” his brows furrowed as his chocolate brown eyes scanned the papers. You frowned as you collected the unfinished sheets.
“Oh nothing, just documents for work. Which I still need to finish.” you murmured, anxiously eyeing the stack.
“Well you can just finish them tomorrow, you don’t have to go in that early anyways right?” you smiled looking back to Mark as you abandoned the counter.
“Yeah, I guess you're right.” taking his calloused hand, flicking the kitchen light off as you left the room. Making your way to the master bedroom through the empty house.
You looked into the mirror mindlessly as you counted the seconds, brushing your teeth thoroughly before you spat out the overwhelming mint flavored paste. As you rinsed your brush under the cold water Mark called to you from the bedroom as he changed.
“So, how are you?” the question seemed drawn out, almost hesitant, as if he was leading onto something else.
“Mark, we already talked about this over lunch, did you already forget what I told you.” you teased as you opened the cabinet setting your toothbrush next to Marks as you turned the light off joining Mark in the bedroom.
“No, no I was just…y’know curious if you maybe forgot to tell me something exciting.”
You quirked an eyebrow out at him doubtingly.
“Uh huh, well I feel like you're trying to get to something else, so why don’t you just go ahead and say it Mark, I hate it when you dance around stuff like this.”
A dense silence fell over the room, and you felt a familiar feeling of dread stir in your chest.
“I want to talk about…about what happened on the ship.” you felt your body go stiff.
“Why would you want to talk about that?” your voice wavered as you tried to swallow the lump in your throat.
“I just, I’ve been seeing things and hearing things, things that I’ve wanted to forget, but I just can’t.”
Again a silence fell over the room, it felt with each passing second a weight was pressing down on your chest.
You paused.
“I know Mark, I can still hear them too.”
Mark turned to you, his eyes glossy, as his bottom lip trembled lightly.
“Was it my fault? I know we’ve talked about this before, but I can’t help but think about what would’ve happened if I hadn’t even built the warp core.” his voice shook as he gripped his face, his eyes fixated on the floor as his body shook lightly. You frowned, walking around the bed as you squatted in front of him taking his hand in yours once again as you gave it a reassuring squeeze, his panicked eyes flickered to yours.
“Mark, you can’t blame yourself for everything that happened, it’s not fair to you. Sure you built the machine, but nobody could’ve known what kind of power it was capable of.” Mark gave a slow nod, his eyes not leaving yours. You smiled scooting in to give him a tight hug.
“I love you, okay? Don’t forget that.” you whispered as Mark buried his face into the crook of your neck, leaving a quick peck against your warm skin.
“What do you say we head to bed now?”
“Sounds like a plan Cap’n.”

Can't tell if I like this one, but oh well. Once again reblogs are appreciated!

What if...?

Synopsis: What if you had managed to save Luke from drowning in the Lake?
A/n: I'm going to start on Valentine's match up right after this I swear, I wrote this impulsively after playing The walking dead game again for like the fifth time in a row. I put my whole coffussy into this because hyper fixations are just goofy like that. I love Luke with all my heart they did my man dirty </3

This fucking sucked. You knew you shouldn’t have gone yet, you knew. Yet you decided to take the stupid risk of being eaten alive over waiting a couple hours for the corpses outside to stagger further into the woods, well fair enough for you to sneak out that is.
But you couldn’t, you were starving, you were driven by an almost inhuman hunger, an urge to devour, anything to replenish to hunger that grew deep inside of you.
Unfortunately, you hadn’t noticed the walker that had crept up from behind you while you sat crouched in the bushes, scouting the area out as you surveyed the hobbling corpses, it had startled you so that on first instinct you had withdrawn your rifle, a shot that had immediately alerted the dead of your location, and before you knew it you found yourself sprinting through the white woods, snow crunching beneath your feet as dead seemed to appear from behind every tree swarming you like a pack of wolves.
Your eyes wide as you tried your best to avoid their lurching limbs, swung out to trap you. The season was hard enough without the dead hanging over you, one slip up and that was it.
You had to get out of the woods, at least then you wouldn’t have to worry about a monster popping up from behind a tree trying to rip your stomach open. Your ragged breathing and the groans of the dead where all you could hear, your lungs burning, it felt as though frost had clung to the inside of your throat filling it with an icy burn.
Your legs felt like jelly as if at any moment they would fall off. You heaved, sucking in your breath as you navigated the woods, your eyes lit up as you began to see the line of trees end, with a clearing not too far. You pushed yourself forcing your body to run faster as you ran.
As you reached the end you blotted out past the bushes and trees tripping, and landing face down in the snow as you groaned. Lifting your head up as you pushed yourself from the ground, swiping the snow from your coat.
But suddenly your attention was grabbed, just out of your line of sight you could see someone, or rather something, out on the frozen lake. Something clawed onto the ice, arising from a hole cracked in the ice. You squinted, you couldn’t tell if it was one of those things. But the way it flailed, it couldn’t be a walker.
As you watched you started to see more, you could see as you sneaked closer, remaining close to the tree line, that it was in fact a man. His skin a pale blue, teeth chattering, he was most certainly going to die, it was just a matter of whether or not hypothermia or the dead got to him first. You grimaced, a feeling of guilt welling up inside you.
You didn’t know if it was possible to save him, but you don’t know if you could just forget letting someone die, knowing you could have tried to help. You overlooked the lake, taking note of the walkers quickly approaching the man, it was now or never.
You shook your head, cursing to yourself as you ran out onto the ice hearing the cracks as you skidded across, pushing past the walker that surrounded the man. He was even worse up close, his skin almost as pale as the corpses that crowded the shores of the frozen lake.
“Give me your hands quickly.” you demanded in a hushed tone as to not attract any more walkers to your location.
You grunted pulling the man as hard as you could, while the brunette tried assisting you in pushing himself using the ice now beneath him as he crawled out on his hands and knees.
You sighed as you offered the man a hand pulling him to his feet, as he clutched his sides, shaking violently from the cold. You drew your gun as you turned to face the dead now closely approaching.
You turned back to the man, your eyes straying to his knee bent out and messily wrapped.
Your eyes met his.
“Can you run?” you asked somewhat frantically, grimacing at the question, he shook his head. You clicked your tongue trying to think how to escape, your not very well thought through rescue plan. Throwing his arm over your shoulder you handed him your gun.
“I’ll carry you, you just worry about shooting the dead.”
You could feel the coldness of the water from his soaking wet clothes that clung to his frigid figure. He lifted a shaky arm up, shooting any lurkers that came close as you fumbled across the ice as quickly as you could.
As soon as you were back on the solid ground you took your gun back from his hand, you didn’t have many bullets and you would need to save some if you were going to make it through the woods. Walkers from across the lake slowly dragged themselves across to where you stood, some falling through the ice.
“I’m staying in a cabin in the woods not too far from here, we have to move quickly before you pass out.” you took off your winter coat, wrapping it around the man's shaking body.
“I know you're still probably freezing but hopefully this will warm you up at least a little.”
And with that you tossed his arm around you again, beginning your trip through the snowy woods. You could feel the man practically fall limp in your arms as you trudged forward.
It felt like hours until you reached the safety of your cabin. You flung the door open hurriedly before the dead drew closer. You quickly shut the door behind you, locking it.
As you stumbled towards the fireplace, throwing the scrawny pieces of wood remaining, as you fumbled with your lighter allowing the embers to spark, dancing in the pit as you cracked and popped joyously.
You turned to the man, who now laid passed out on the floor, you were afraid that he hadn’t made it. Cautiously you lifted his limp body up from the floor, his eyes fluttered open, as he weakly peered at you through his frozen eyelashes.
“Listen, I know this might seem strange, but you need to take your clothes off, your clothes are soaked and freezing cold you’ll warm up faster.” you looked to him and then to the fire. “Can you do that?” he nodded loosely.
“Okay good, I’m going to move you into my room, you can change there. I'll find some spare clothes for you and leave them on the bed.”
Without another word you wrapped his arm around you again as you hoisted him up.
Dragging him down the cold hallway into your room. You laid him down on the bed, digging through your closet, there were some old shirts of your uncles that would probably fit him as well as some old jeans that would probably work.
Your brows furrowed seeing your uncle's old clothes, regardless you closed the doors to the closet and set the clothes down.
“Alright, these should work for you. I’ll just leave you to it.” you said awkwardly stepping out of the room. With a sigh, you walked back into your living room, glancing at the swaying flames, with a sorrowful expression plastered across your face.
Your stomach growled with a rumble, groaning you made your way to the kitchen, all you had was cans of soup stocked up. Everything else had been eaten in the beginning. You reached for two cans of soup to heat them up. You were sure that your guest would most likely be hungry, but you wanted to be sure.
Heating up some water on your gas stove you walked to your bedroom. Knocking before you entered you opened the door very quietly.
To your surprise the man sprawled out on your bed your comforter tossed over him messily. A light snore drifted from his mouth. Chuckling softly, you closed the door, you were sure he’d appreciate the food regardless.
You didn’t know what time it was but the sun had set a long time ago. You lit the candles placed on your table, as you placed the second bowl of soup across from you, as you began eating you heard the squeak of a door shut. You tensed for a moment before turning your head to the tall man emerging from the dark hall.
“I made you some soup, I went to ask you earlier but you were passed out.” you quipped, as the man took his seat across from you.
“Well I uh, appreciate it.” he replied, his soft country accent drawing out as he spoke. Taking the spoon laid out for him as he ate, eating almost like an animal that hadn’t eaten for days, which was most likely the case. Once he had finished he looked up to you embarrassed as he wiped his mouth.
“Sorry, I haven’t had nothin’ to eat for a couple days now.” he explained
“No it’s fine, I imagine it probably hasn’t been easy, and well considering the circumstances, I figure you’ve had it rough.”
The man's eyes grew a bit darker, as his brows pulled together. You worried you might have said something wrong.
“I’m sorry did…did I say something wrong?” you pondered aloud, the country boy's eyes snapping up to meet yours.
“Ah, no sorry, I’m just thinkin’.”
You paused a question bubbling up in your mind. And before you could stop yourself, it fell from your lips almost without any effort.
“If you don’t mind me asking, how…exactly did you end up in the lake?” There was a pause, an uncomfortable one, the air grew tense. The brown haired man hesitated for a moment.
“Well, I was with my group, we were trying to cross the lake as fast as possible, lurkers started popping up from everywhere and before I knew it…it just happened so fast, the ice was cracking and there just wasn’t enough time.” he replied, a bitter expression crossing his pale face.
“Shit, I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be gettin’ all teary eyed on you.” he chuckled sadly, rubbing his face. You frowned sympathetically.
“No it’s…it’s okay I get it.” he looked up at you once again, an expectant look in his eyes, you sighed.
“I, I uh, actually lost my uncle at the beginning of all of this, we came down here for a ski trip when this all went down. And I’ve been by myself ever since…” you murmured you felt your eyes sting with tears, you blinked rapidly not wanting to cry in front of a stranger.
“I’m sorry you had to go through all that, at least I had people to lose, your tellin’ me you’ve been alone this whole time?” you nodded, letting out a breathy chuckle.
“Man, I didn’t think I’d be pouring my heart out to a stranger over soup.”
“It’s Luke.” you looked at him in confusion.
“Huh?”
“My name it’s Luke.”
“Well it’s nice to meet you Luke, I'm Y/n"
“See? Now we're not strangers.” you smiled to him
“I guess not.”

The Actor falling in love
A/n: Shorter break than expected, but I probably won't get back to posting regularly right away, I wanted to do some simple headcannons but this became a whole ass fic, so I'll probably do more headcannons with Actor soon. Enjoy!
Pairing: Actor and Gender neutral Reader
Warnings: Mentions of alcohol, being intoxicated, swearing, and a pinch of angst

Mark wouldn't realize he's in love, not for a long time, it might even take years for him to realize. But once he did it was the best thing that had ever happened to him.
Marks been your friend for seven years now. Frankly he's surprised you've stuck around for that long, but hes grateful, grateful you've decided to put so much effort into the greedy person that he is. Especially considering you didn't have the humblest beginnings.
Mark was a piece of shit, well he was to everyone, but it seemed he had a specific hatred for you, he detested you more than anyone else. As though your mere presence brought him complete and utter anguish.
So why would you choose to stay with him? Why did you beckon him closer, despite his protest.
Yet, no matter how much he pushed you away from him, you always seemed to come back. He wasn't comfortable with the idea of letting someone in, letting someone see all of him not just the cocky, ignorant facade he put up. Yet you ignored the red flags, you broke down his walls without warning. And begrudgingly he let you in.
And soon he felt every time you had to leave he only longed for you closer, he wanted to pull you back into him and never let you go. As selfish as it sounded, you completed him, you made him feel loved for who he was, not who he was supposed to be.
Whenever he was with you he felt complete, not like the half of a whole he felt when he sat by himself, not a shell of a man, that he was when he was lost in thought.
And the more time he spent with you the more his admiration for you grew, when you entered a room his heartbeat quickened, when you flashed him a smile his cheeks grew red, and when your hand brushed his he felt his head became dizzy.
He had grown to care for you more than he had cared for anybody, he felt like a better person when he was with you, you didn't make him feel like a bad person, you forced him to accept the bad parts of himself with the good. And at first it was horrifying, but you made it seem worth it. And thats when it hit him.
Fuck, he was in love with you
At first he tried to fight these feelings whenever you were near, he couldn't stop the hammering of his heart in his chest. He contemplated running, running from it, from you. But he couldn't. He needed you more than he realized.
And he couldn't bring himself to just disappear from your life, he didn't want to hurt you like that. But he couldn’t pretend he wasn’t in love with you, so he had two choices, he had to leave or he had to confess.
Mark felt a sensation of dread well up in his stomach, for days he contemplated every possible outcome, each scenario growing darker than the last. He had to tell you how he felt, even if it was selfish to hope that someone like you loved him, it was a risk he was willing to take, for his love for you was far greater than his fear of rejection.
He needed it to be casual, though his dramatic fantasy of kissing you on the beach the sun setting behind the two of you, the blend of orange, red, and pink creating the perfect backdrop. No, he couldn't get ahead of himself only to get his heart shattered.
He had invited you to dinner at his house, a simple meal shared between friends, everything was going well you’d spent the evening chatting, just enjoying each others company out on the balcony. That was until Mark had poured you two some wine, he just couldn't help himself.
It wasn't long till Mark felt like his head was lighter than air while his body felt heavier, as though he was glued to the chair.
While you talked you held your gaze among the stars above you twinkling brightly in the dark pool of blue. Mark couldn't help but zone out, enraptured in your beauty as you babbled on Mark didn’t even know what you were saying at this point.
But then you turned to meet his gaze, maybe it was the wine but he could have cared less that you caught him staring
You tilted your head at him your eyebrows furrowing in confusion
“Mark, are you okay?” you asked, his head bobbled drunkenly.
“You're so pretty, my love.” he slurred, his fears washed away by the wine in his hand. The man wore a lopsided smile, that tugged from one corner of his face to the other. Your eyes widened, before a sweet smile spread across your face as you chuckled lightly
"Okay, well I think you're drunk enough, time for bed." you whispered gently, taking hold of the wine in his hand and placing it on the table set up on the balcony.
You swung his arm around your neck hoisting him up as you dragged him off the balcony, though it took time and effort you managed to drag him into the kitchen, you propped him up against a chair, his body slumped over lazily while Mark let out a deep groan. You walked into the silent kitchen, opening a wooden cabinet to fetch Mark a glass of water that would, hopefully, sober him up.
You flicked the cold water on, watching the cup fill up as you glanced at the man slumped over on the dinning table. As the cup filled you switched the water off, walking to Mark you placed the cup down, taking a seat next to him as you pushed the water towards him.
Mark grumbled in response, lifting his head from the table to peer out at what had been shoved towards him, he frowned at the cup placed in front of him, sending you a fretful pout.
"What is this for?" he asked, his words jumbled together as he spoke.
"I need you to drink this Mark, or you're going to feel awful in the morning." you spoke in a hushed tone, like a mother cooing to her child. Mark frowned putting his head back down ignoring your concern. You sighed as you scooted closer to the stubborn man.
You lifted him up with a grunt, his body sat against the chair like he was a rag doll that had just been tossed across the room, in any other circumstance you would have found this amusing, maybe even cute. But right now Mark was being a pain in your ass.
"Mark, open your mouth please." without question the man opened his jaw, you grabbed the cup and placed it to his lips gently, pouring the liquid into his mouth.
"Swallow, all of it." you stated firmly. Again, Mark obeyed your instructions. Leaning back in his chair he threw his head back closing his eyes.
"If you want to sleep we have to go up the staircase." you said, earning another groan from the man. You deadpanned, feeling you, yourself groan at the man's antics.
Swinging his arm over your shoulder again.
Shit, This was going to be a lot harder
You thought to yourself as you gazed upon Mark's imperial staircase. Begrudgingly you began to drag the man up the stairs heaving, with each step, you looked up, you weren't even close to the top.
"Why are you so good to me?"
The question caught you off guard, it was uncharacteristically gentle, it felt sincere, which was a rare thing from the cocky man.
You looked down to Mark.
"What do you mean?"
There was a moment of silence, before the man spoke again.
"You're still here, my arrogant, selfish nature drives everyone away, they all leave. But not you, why?" his voice held a genuine sound of confusion.
"Well, I care about you, and I don't think any of those things about you. Sure you can be ignorant and sometimes even stubborn. But I still care a lot about you." and to this Marks head shot up a hopeful look dancing in his chocolate eyes.
"Do you love me?"
Your eyes widened, what could you say? You wanted to tell him the truth. Taking a deep breath, you turned your gaze to the top of the stairs now nearing closer than before.
"I do, I love you Mark." you mentally cursed at how your voice wavered. Mark let out a dramatic sigh, catching your attention.
"Oh love, you have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear those words from you."
And with that you had reached the top, looming down the dark hallway you hobbled into Marks room. Flicking the lights on, you dragged him to his bed laying him down on his velvety sheets. He looked so peaceful, his dark eyes resting, his face softening as his chest rose softly. You smiled, turning to leave the actor to rest.
You stopped as you felt a hand wrapped around your wrist. You turned to see Mark peering at you behind heavy eyes.
“Where are you going?”
"Downstairs to sleep."
Marks face fell, a pleading look in his eyes.
"You're not going to leave? Leave me?" he asked, his grip tightening.
You sighed, turning and crouching in front of the man.
"Of course not."
"Then would you please stay? Just for a little longer." he paused "I can't let you go."
You smiled, yawning feeling a bit tired yourself.
"Of course." you replied, standing up, and crawling over Mark as you laid beside him, resting your eyes, as you allowed yourself to fade into the darkness. It wasn't long until you felt arms wrap around you as, Mark's heart beat lulled you to sleep.
