The wedding cake I made for my Uncle’s wedding. For the record, those are real flowers jammed into the cake. His now-wife was the one who made the toppers.
Yes, they are startrek figures. Their vows were filled to the brim with geeky references and it was a really great day.
The bottom layer was styrofoam (spell check isn’t helping and I give up), and I gotta say working with that was the most frustrating part because I had to cut it into shape, and then icing it... in hindsight I should have realized it needed something to keep it from sliding around all over the place.

this is a somewhat personal piece I made as a means to vent recently. Kinda a culmination of the events and anxieties that have, for better or worse, shaped me to who I am today.
If anyone is reading this, mental health is an issue that deserves to be taken seriously- never deny yourself that if you share in these struggles. You are not alone, there are other people who understand.
Might end up making more of these in the future.
