Bonus:
Last year I drew a bunch of pictures of the SU cast as charactors from Wizard of Oz and totally forgot to post them ^^; so I’m gonna do that now XD
Steven as Dorothy - Because protagonist lol and young adult who is very openly emotional.
Lion as Toto - Because animal companion XD
Amethyst as the Scarecrow - Because they both worry that they’re not good enough/smart enough/ helpful enough but wind up being the one who helps and bonds with Dorothy/Steven the most over the course of the story.
Garnet as the Tinman - Both have stories tied to love/the heart. Also Garnet just looks awesome like that :D
Pearl as the Cowardly Lion - Both incredibly neurotic and trying to over come that.
Pink Diamond as the Witch of the East - Because….at the time I drew these pictures I still thought Pink was “shattered” so my thought process was “well they’re both dead!”
Yellow Diamond as the Witch of the West - Both want revenge/closure over the loss of a loved one. Looking back, I think Blue Diamond probably would’ve made more sense because, like the Witch of the West, she wants to cling to things that remind her of the one she lost, but I already drew Yellow so… ^^;
Rose as the Wizard - They’re both liars. XD (also, this is one of my best drawings of Rose, how did I do that???)
Bismuth as Glinda - Both have been inside pink bubbles Both are very supportive, also Uzo Aduba (Bismuth’s VA) played Glinda in The Wiz sooooo….. Honestly, I just wanted an excuse to put Bismuth in here XD Tried giving her a skirt but it felt weird giving her a skirt so I changed it to more of a tunic thing ^^;
