clasps his hands together over the tabletop and watches you cook the entire time, alternating between talking about the most random things and just sitting there and peering interestedly as you chop vegetables and sauté onions. he is wholeheartedly supporting you, and treats the entire dinner like some sort of couple bonding activity, where he asks you about your day and how you made everything. it's his way of showing his interest, and he Will finish his plate along with a second portion, insisting that your cooking is just that good. and it really, really is, partly because you always let him pick the menu, and partly because it's cooked by you

you wait on tenterhooks for his verdict bc he always has the most serious food critic face on when he's tasting your cooking. and when he delicately wipes his mouth and gives you an approving nod, you can't help the way you beam in happiness and relief every single time. despite the food critic face, however, deep down you know that he's going to inhale practically all of his plate in one go, because there's something so sweet about you cooking for him, where he gets to relax and swing his legs over on the island chairs and watch u prepare everything for him. won't let you cook all the time, though. because you're still his sweet darling and he should be the one to pamper you the most

has barely taken half a bite before he's gasping and his eyes are going wide and he's declaring that it's the best thing he's ever had, hands down, gordon ramsay be damned, you're the best chef in the entire world. you slap him on the arm for his exaggeration, laughing, and eventually he relents and tells you incredibly genuinely what his thoughts are. he really does love your food, though, and he will Not stop praising it for the entire night until you're all shy and blushing and practically shoving food into his mouth to get him to stop. clears away the dishes afterwards, insisting that you've done enough work so why don’t you take out that cake from the fridge and relax and let him take care of the washing up for u baby, okay?

Wonwoo @/jnwnw: currently studying sociocultural anthropology in Mongolia, Wonwoo is comin' out of his cage, and he's been doing just fine! Yeah, sure his long distance partner had a baby while he was studying abroad (obviously with someone who wasn't him), and he's delayed his return home by three years even though most of his family and friends are there, and he keeps thinking he's going to just book that goddamn return flight until he's closing the tab again... but he's over it, he swears. And over you.

Jihoon @/cokezer0: Wonwoo's best friend since they were teenagers. He was your friend, too, when you met both Wonwoo and him during your undergrad, but he's definitely not your biggest fan now. In fact, he might be the person who hates you the most for what happened. Jihoon will always be there for Wonwoo, even when he's studying in a different country, and if that means telling his best friend to cut someone toxic out of his life, Jihoon will do it every time. Junhui @/whenwillhui: a friend Wonwoo made while studying abroad in Mongolia that eventually turned into a roommate. He gets a bit zoned out sometimes, but he's a good friend. He met you when you were still Wonwoo's long distance partner, sometimes saying hello during video calls or even messaging you to ask for Wonwoo's birthday so he could surprise him. You weren't surprised when he sided with Wonwoo when your son was born. Coincidentally, he plans to move to Wonwoo's hometown after his program is finished to live with a friend.

Minghao @/theonlythe8: your neighbour from across the hall, who you haven't really gotten to know yet. He seems like a very nice young man, and you always love his fashion choices when you cross paths in the hall or by the mailboxes downstairs. Orion likes him too -- Minghao always makes sure to say hi to him and not just you, which is cute. He doesn't have a roommate or anything, which almost makes you wonder how he affords to live in your building on a single person's salary, but you let go of that train of thought pretty quickly. As a single parent, you live in the same building, and you wouldn't want people questioning you.

Even though you've only known most of this group for a couple years, you love them lots! They've helped you so much as you've simultaneously worked to become a lawyer and raise a child on your own as a single parent.

Soonyoung @/horanghae: a friend from back in your university days, and the only one in the Posse that knew you before Orion was born. Soonyoung may act silly a lot (mostly in front of Orion) and is a hilarious drunk, but he's one of the most passionate people you know, and he's been there for you during some really tough times.

Chan @/eeechan, Vernon @/chwenotchew, & Seungkwan @/booyourheartout: around the time Orion was one-turning-two years old, you got blindsided by an unfortunate family emergency, and you needed someone to watch Orion while you dealt with it during the day. Though hesitantly, you decided to hire a part-time nanny — and found Vernon. You're almost certain that some deity sent down Vernon to help you out when you needed it most. It didn't take long for you to fall into complete trust with Vernon, enough so that when his apartment flooded, you let him and his two roommates stay at your place for three nights. In that short time, you became good friends with Vernon and his roommates, and you've been close with all three ever since.

Lục @/queenluc & Seokmin @/seokshine: probably the cutest couple you've ever met in your entire life. Seokmin is always talking about how Lục is way out of his league and Lục always looks at him like he's the literal stars in the sky. Yet, their love for each other isn't cringy at all. Weird. You met Lục through work, and later found out that her partner was already friends with Seungkwan, Vernon, and Chan. It was like fate! Or movie magic....? Either way, you love both these softies with your whole heart.
