I think the main thing is people are confusing bluntness and sass with being cold, Rose is an extremely blunt and sassy person, but have never been cold or selfish, I think their relationship with Kanaya is a perfect example against the first (being cold) (if one of you mention the epilogues I will fray your kneecaps) and her suicide mission is evidence against the second (being selfish)
