PJO fandom in 2015: Gay. Lots and lots of gay. This is when PJO/HoO got known for their LGBT+ fanbase. People started drawing PoC like actual PoC. Golden age, still a lot of Percabeth but lots of new gay ships. Rachel is a fandom hero. Also, people stop worshipping Riordan?
PJO fandom in 2017: Apparently calling out lesbophobia and racism is “toxic”, adults shouldn’t be held accountable for how they interact with kids and somehow “minor culture” is destroying fandom.
