Let’s cheapen it to say that Lily who in the stageplay is incredibly shy and full of anxiety as well as nightmares of being killed is ACKSHUALLY a Stepford Smiler who was used as a sex toy by the captain who ranked above Rose and thus that caused for the entire group to defect. That’s fine. That’s totally fine. It’s not like it’s a cheapass plot device that is seldom if ever at all used well.
