Punk is giving people a voice. Punk is going “hey, this is fucking disgusting, the way you treat people” and raising your voice about it

Punk is letting the people in need have a say. Punk is shutting up when other minority groups talk about the issues that affect THEM. Punk is not just anger. Punk is angry, sure, but it’s also fear, hope, pain, love, sadness, loss, disgust, happiness and passion.

Punk is recognising your privilege and using that privilege to give people whose voices are never heard a platform to speak from.

Punk is not just an angry aesthetic of youth. Punk is so much more.

one of the nice things about heterosexuals i never see talked about on here is that they haven’t already heard all your gay jokes yet. i just really appreciate having a new audience sometimes for my completely automatic responses to phrases like ‘i’ll be straight with you’. so, shoutout to all the innocent hets out there who have a genuine giggle over lame quips that a fellow queer would groan and hit me for. ilu guys.
