i don't really know what to say about this, except that i think people need to know. new york state and the bureau of indian affairs continue to refuse to recognize the sovereignty of the traditional people of cayuga and it's honestly sickening.

the current "tribal representative" (chosen by the BIA) and what is essentially his personal police force (yes, you read that correctly) have been evicting people and demolishing their homes. they've demolished at least two houses in the last 24 hours and are gearing up for continued violence.

the people standing guard to prevent more evictions/demolition are in desperate need of supplies like water, food, camping equipment, phone chargers, etc.

please, if you can spare anything, @/solidarityithaca (on venmo) is collecting donations for supplies.

if you want to check out the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' Solidarity & Rematriation fund, that's always helpful. but what people urgently need are direct funds, supplies, and hell, just in case any of you live near this area, bodies. the people currently standing up to this brutality are exhausted from staying up all night guarding houses. please help if it's at all possible and maybe consider signal boosting if you can't. also, please let me know if i've made any terminological mistakes, i'm trying to type this up quickly.
