- I remind myself of what and who I'm doing this for.
- I remind myself that hopelessness/helplessness is exactly what Israel wants to achieve.
- I remind myself that I can better benefit the cause when I am mentally strong and that there is absolutely no shame in taking a break to maintain that strength.

Our lives, hopes and ambitions have been destroyed, our livelihood has been destroyed, we have lost dear friends and many relatives, our house has been completely destroyed, we live in a plastic tent in the middle of an UNRWA school and we suffer from the heat of the sun which causes headaches, migraines, body allergies and many diseases. There is no food, water, medicine or basic life requirements and the prices are terribly high, we cannot afford to buy anything.
In the meantime, this fundraising campaign has been started so that people can donate so that we can regain momentum in case the unfortunate circumstances cannot be fixed. I am Falestine, Jad Al-Haq, I am 36 years old, married, and I have a three-month-old child named Youssef. I gave birth to him during the war during very harsh conditions that no human being can bear. I moved from the hospital immediately after giving birth to the tent in which we were staying after we were displaced to it after the Israeli bulldozers completely bulldozed my house. Kamel has become featureless, and my suffering did not start from here. Rather, it began since the beginning of the war, and I am still suffering. I cannot provide enough milk for my baby or diapers. Even medicines and vitamins are not available.

Babies death certificates are being issued before their birth certificates in Gaza.
A journalist in Gaza just reported on the story of the father who lost his 4 day old twins in a strike that also killed the infants mother and grandmother. He mentioned how the man was supposed to pick up the twins' birth certificates but received the devastating news that they were killed instead. You can watch footage of him receiving the news in the thread linked above, it's too painful to download and share.

to make matters worse, Hala agency contacted Wafaa to tell her that she needs to have the full campaign amount ready by August 18 if she wants her family to be registered for evacuation together. We still have about 28k left to raise.
we have less than SEVEN DAYS in order to help this tentless and starving family evacuate. they have been displaced more than 10 times now, and the kids are sleeping exposed on the sidewalks of Khan Younis. I opened Al-Jazeera literally 15 minutes ago and the iof is bombing Khan Younis AS WE SPEAK. Please. I don't know how else to urge you to donate, the lives of 10 children and their parents literally are in your hands.

This is advice I have seen float around here a couple of times that can apply to a lot of things including clothing, furniture, food, and more besides. It’s meant to be done roughly in that order as it applies to what you’re wanting/needing/doing. It’s about preventing waste, promoting self-capability, having a heightened reliance on your community, and consciously rejecting the ingrained habit many of us have to just purchase things or services.

While operating within the system that actively oppresses us will not bring about the future we want, it can serve as damage control (preventing worse candidates from taking office) and it can potentially create a national atmosphere more open to change.

Give your neighbors, coworkers, and friends some of the vegetables you’ve grown.
Invite your community members to volunteer events.
Talk to folks about how to vote, when you’re doing it, etc.
Take part in Mutual Aids to teach what you’ve learned or whatever you may be an expert in! Invite neighbors, friends, and coworkers when you take part in the Mutual Aid!
Accept your community. Take them for who and what they are. Discrimination is the enemy of cooperation. You have much more in common with everyone in your community than a single billionaire or corporation. We’re all passengers on this spaceship earth.
Do it one step at a time!
Obviously we can’t do all of these things at once. Do what you can when you can, and you’ll start to notice real change in your life!
Our online communities where we talk about our visions and hopes are fantastic, but they have little impact if we don’t actually get up and do the real work that change requires.
Want to be better, and keep hope for the future!
Harbor and nourish that desire to be a better person and to be the change you want to see in the world. You need to be hungry for a better future if you plan to make it through the rough times when everything feels pointless and without hope. Reach out to others when you’re down, and be someone others can lean on when their lives get hard.

Hello, I want to tell you about my story. My name is Mahmoud Helles. I have been a refugee in Belgium for 7 years. I live in a refugee center and do not have residency in Belgium. I left Gaza and left my pregnant wife. I didn't see my baby when he was born and I wasn't there. He is now 6 years old and I have 4 children, the eldest of whom is 13 years old. I have no childhood memories with my children, and I fear I will be deprived of them. My wife suffers from kidney problems, her left kidney was removed, and she now lives with one kidney. Also, due to the war and the lack of treatment, her health has deteriorated, and if I lose his life, my children will remain in Gaza homeless, without their mother and their expatriate father for that.
