I don’t think adding nonbinary to Victorian’s gender system would’ve fixed their weird sexism. If anything I think it would’ve made them weirder and sexismier

idk who needs to hear this but when your english teacher asks you to explain why an author chose to use a specific metaphor or literary device, it’s not because you won’t be able to function in real-world society without the essential knowledge of gatsby’s green light or whatever, it’s because that process develops your abilities to parse a text for meaning and fill in gaps in information by yourself, and if you’re wondering what happens when you DON’T develop an adult level of reading comprehension, look no further than the dizzying array of examples right here on tumblr dot com

i kinda got into literary analysis out of spite because before certain teacher i thought that literary analysis was stupid and people should experience the story as is instead of categorising it in boxes and picking it apart but then i got this Polish Language teacher (who is a damn good teacher despite all the things) that i lowkey disliked on personal level man has very specific interpretations of the books we went through on lessons and i disagreed heavily i also disliked the books we had to read and characters in them so i started to use the literary analysis tools he taught us to argue points for my own interpretations thanks prof your jokes are awful but i will treasure the notes on literary devices

Radiohusk is such a fun ship because it just has so much range. It could be anything from old dudes bickering like a tired married couple, to dark toxic horror romance where one can't escape from their monster, to a couple with a long and sordid history together either in the afterlife or even before that, to an unreciprocated romance based on one who wants to love and be loved and the other who simply cares more for power than anything else, to two guys who found a routine together in the afterlife and make the best of it, or two guys who can't seem to escape each other for eternity and it only gets worse as time goes on. Also, sometimes there's cannibalism involved.

radiohusk hazbin hotel i mostly prefer them having history together and being inexplicably attached to eachother but it is a delight just how versatile the ship is you can weave so many themes with them oh! i also adore the horror aspect though in more hurt/comfort way
