Technically it's both "complicated nb identity" and "professional reasons" but in truth it's because in languages I use in public you have to put grammatical gender to refer to yourself, and they don't have first person neutral form. I am not a good linguist to invent a good grammatical form for 2-3 languages myself and while it is technically possible to form a sentences in those languages using passive voice to avoid self-gendering, it was really tedious and exhausting to use constantly.
