I feel like BPS would serve more as an enemy to the opposite side than a group of teenagers/young adults running around and engaging with alternates. I mean they’re STILL a group of teenagers/young adults running around and engaging with alternates but they’re doing it in a way more productive way.

They sneak into the alternate moth’s territory and they gather intel on what they plan to do next. They also assist other moths who have been affected by what these evil moths have done.

They usually turn the intel in to the police, but after they were chastised for engaging with the alternates in the first place, they just barely got off the hook and they keep their investigations private.

Also instead of getting calls, they get letters asking for assistance like ye olden days.
