Thinking about how my mom tried to “seduce” my dad when they were in college together by sneaking oranges into his backpack, because she grew up food insecure and feeding someone/sharing food was a big deal with her upbringing with a lot of emotional meaning–

and meanwhile my poor dad is just convinced that he’s been haunted by some citrus poltergeist because why the fuck are there always oranges in his bag he swears he did not put there???

055 RE: human connection oh god this reminds me of third grade when i wanted to be friends with someone so i just set forth and started sneaking snacks into their backpack LMAO i would sneak in like these cake snacks and chips and oranges and like.... god it got so elaborate cause like i didn't want that person to find out so like id like go out on a 'bathroom' break and cycle back to where the backpacks are and take the snack from my backpack and put it into their backpack ......
