Of course he does. Mello must have PTSD from a lot of things but the explosion probably had the most impact.

They canonically spent New Years 2010 in Tokyo. Imagine the episode he must've had from the firework. Matt quickly learns that noise-cancelling headphones and a tight long hug do a great deal in sitting the episode out.
