I Made A Post Earlier This Month About Different Gender Identities And What They Mean. I Wanted To Make
I made a post earlier this month about different gender identities and what they mean. I wanted to make a similar post about sexual and romantic orientations to put on my instagram, @/queer.lake, so people can reference it!
So, here are the most widely accepted definitions for some sexualities! This isn’t a complete list but I’ll try to include as many as I can.
Lesbian: queer attraction to women
Gay or Vincian: queer attraction to men
Bisexual/biromantic: attraction to more than one gender
Pansexual/panromantic: attraction regardless of gender
Asexual: little to no sexual attraction
Aromantic: little to no romantic attraction
Omnisexual/omniromantic: attraction to all genders, but not regardless of gender
Polysexual/polyromantic: attraction to more than two but not all genders
Abrosexual/abroromantic: a fluid sexuality or romantic orientation
Multisexual/multiromantic: an umbrella term for anyone attracted to multiple genders
Queer: a general term for anyone who is not straight, cisgender, and/or allo (allo= not asexual or aromantic)
Trixic: a nonbinary person attracted to women
Toric: a nonbinary person attracted to men
Neptunic: attraction to women and nonbinary people
Uranic: attraction to men and nonbinary people
I hope this is helpful to people. Let me know if there are any other identities you’d like me to add!

“Oh [other profession] wants better working conditions? WELL [MY profession] is HARDER I work TWENTY HOUR DAYS and I am NOT ALLOWED BREAKS and I’m PAID FOR SHIT and I have NO INSURANCE and I NEVER SEE MY CHILDREN so WHY are YOU COMPLAINING LOL”
have you considered that maybe YOUR job ALSO should not suck that much
I, a hearing person who likes subtitles just as a preference, shouldn't have to read a subtitle that's obvious nonsense, go back a couple seconds, and listen again in order to figure out what's going on. An accessibility feature should not be the most half-assed part of a professionally made production. Scripted media has absolutely no excuse for not having subtitles or having subtitles that aren't perfectly verbatim. Professional captioning services should be ashamed of the shoddy work that they put out. Captions should be treated as a part of the production, just like filming, editing, audio balancing, etc - and anything that releases with missing or bad captions should be seen as unfinished
Just watched the Barbie Movie and...
...💕ALLAN MY BELOVED💕
My man is everything that I want in a queer-coded comic relief character
He's Ken's buddy who fits in all of his clothes 🏳️🌈
He's a transgender/nonbinary icon
He canonically will fight you (and win)
He's capable of hearing the narrator
His outfits are gay as hell
His dancing is awkward as hell (affectionate)
He'd probably be everyone's gay bestie

I love him and it's so sad that I don't have a doll like him
