i think your theory about why huntric is more popular than gustholomule is partially correct but also. a lot of the fandom is teenagers who find 16 year old characters hot but are not attracted to the 12 (or maybe 13 now) year old bc he's too young for them. definitely sus when adults do it though

Yeah, I mean I'm not really interested in discussing the nuances of what teenagers find attractive I'm a grown ass adult and I am not gonna concern myself with whatever the teenage fans are doing or thinking and yeah, there's a lot of teens in the TOH fandom as there should be considering it's a show literally meant for them, but I'm gonna go out on a lim and say most of the prominent artists in the fandom who've been chruning out H*ntric content since Hunter's first face reveal are not teenagers and are in fact the same breed of fangirl that I was hoping and praying would go extinct with the J*hnlocks and the St*reks and the D*stiels and the St*ckys, the ones who always put the two pretty white men together and then gaslit themselves into thinking the show will make the ship canon one day if they just push hard enough and complain loud enough (in the case St*rek i know at least one of them got a woc love interest and you would not believe the vitriol they threw at that poor woman im just glad Willow's animated so there isnt an actress with her own face attached to the character having to deal with harassment).

I've just been in fandom spaces for a very long time and I saw this whole Huntlow anti drama coming a mile away when the first H*ntric ship posts dropped, I didn't know Willow would fall victim to the woc love interest curse but I did know that whatever the show did with Hunter was going to upset a very particular type of fan iykwim 🙄

As for Gustholomule I'm sorry, but idk if im willing to accept their age as the big reason their ship posts get less than a fourth the notes that H*ntric does, I mean look at the Supersons ship those two are even younger than Gustholomule and they've got a giant fanbase. I think there's a reason why the ship with two brown boys gets a hundred notes per fanart and the one with two white twinks gets ten thousand but thats none of my business i guess 🫖🤷‍♀️

The movie did sejauns dirty

I was rooting for him in the books but wanted him off the screen in the movies

Something that I like about sejauns character is that people say he's to naive. Which is the whole point. He's a teenager. Teenagers are the next generation in line to go through inhuman lifestyles and moral issues. However their still older kids or humans , which means they aren't prone to horrible behaviors or decisions . And maybe I'm explaining my point all wrong but the characters in the book are just kids/teens

Part two to golden / gifted child Steve

Dustin and Robin are the only ones that try to get Eddie to explain what's going on but unfortunately he dosen't even know. But load and behold Steve is spiraling

Not mentally strong. Even those close to him has spoken about his horrible flaws. Robin and the kids calling him stupid, them not needing rides hellfire still doing the most to just tolerate him.

And in that time frame Eddie is staring to get worried he can't calm Steve into telling him what's wrong . So as weeks go by Steve is forcing himself to be useful again trying not to be a disgrace. Cuz his place is the needed friend , the mom friend , the friend that people point to talk mad crap about to make them feel better. Unfortunately though hellfire has a campaign and Eddie not understanding what's going on holds the meeting at Steve's . Which makes Steve super uncomfortable and as the campaign goes on Steve does small things to keep himself from needing Eddie. Which hellfire starts to notice saying words like he's so extra , why are we here again and so forth causing Steve to visit Robin.

I agree that Harringrove would be more believable in canon bc Billy and Steve had more interactions, but I just can’t get behind it cos Billy was so volatile, and though the show strived to humanize him at the end and have him do one final noble act, it’s obvious in s4 that his behavior had a lasting negative impact. I feel like redemption or not, it is just so toxic to have the beginning of a relationship be riddled with anger issues/violence. And he was racist :/ no offense to u! Im also a nancy wheeler hater btw lmao

Yea I can't understand how people want Steve and Nancy to get back together when Nancy never liked their relationship to begin with . And I do agree with the violence part but I do have a feeling it would have been an arc for Billy

So I think we can all collectively say that the gods aren't shit (expect the small gods like the goddess of fire and persephone and those gods)
