was rewatching ‘A Vinny / HYBRID Christmas’ and holy shit i forgot how heartbreaking this clip is.

like.??? you see everyone else having fun, then it cuts to this clip. I've honestly been thinking about this for days. the way the clips is so sudden, the slow move of the camera (which is assume Steph is recording) to the puppet Alex made of Sparky. Alex is so happy he got complimented on his playing, but then Alex notices Steph looking at it, and he just KNOWS what she's thinking. he knows people think he's weird. he knows that they probably think he's a loser for making this weird, crude sock puppet of his dead dog. he's so aware of it, and that crushes me so bad??

“i know that's not my dog” AGHHH ALEXX i swear he's so aware, he knows what people think of him!! and he replies SO quickly, wanting to save his image in some way. and he says it so somberly i swear. that puppet is his only comfort, and he literally does this all the time. he keeps a voice recording of his mother saying goodnight to him. he needs to keep it next to him, he literally has it next to his desk. he NEEDS memories so he doesn't forget, he needs something to hold onto. give this man a hug, i'm begging.
