I used to have my tumblr exposure kinda curated from pintrest but there were a ton of ads so i moved here and goddamn some of yall are worse than i thought 💀 it’s not any more weird imo but it’s meaner in a more personal way 💀 it’s like a bunch of weirdos who kinda got bullied are in the same space and some of them are totally chill and nice and fine and there are SOME who feel like they have enough power(anonymity) to be bullies and are just fucking lashing out at everybody, without considering their feelings or impact at all, without doing any helpful introspection about WHY they’re doing that, and hurting people 💀

despite the recent eviction record, I found someone willing to rent to my mom and me! i was getting increasingly afraid wed be stuck in a tent during winter. my partner is helping us to cover the first months rent + security deposit, but he can't cover all of it.. plus we still need to get electric and internet activated, and my mom needs a bed. shes a senior, sleeping on the floor is not a viable option for her, so I at least need to get her an air mattress. we'll worry about the rest in the coming months. Chiune Sugihara. This man saved 6000 Jews. He was a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania. When the Nazis began rounding up Jews, Sugihara risked his life to start issuing unlawful travel visas to Jews. He hand-wrote them 18 hrs a day. The day his consulate closed and he had to evacuate, witnesses claim he was STILL writing visas and throwing from the train as he pulled away. He saved 6000 lives. The world didn’t know what he’d done until Israel honored him in 1985, the year before he died.

One of the biggest power moves I have here in the midwest when someone is being racist, sexist, homophobic is that I tell them that I’ll pray for them so that god can grace them with empathy, or that “I feel sorry the devil has made his home in your heart” cause you have not felt joy until you’ve flipped the script on a suburban house mom or an old racist white man.  The joy of watching their face in shock and confusion while they’re called out in Christian Standards the same way they try to cover for their homophobia is amazing.  100% suggest it, at the very least it gets them to shut the fuck up.
