God, reading this again brought back so many fond memories from when I first read it. It was even better the second time around, honestly. GOD GREASER HOSEOK MAKES ME BLUSH SO MUCH!!!!

This whole scene was just adorable. The way Hoseok is actually trying so hard to impress the reader, the way he knew all the right moves to do; just wasn’t actually sure how to do them properly. It makes me giggle thinking about how he went about it— I doubt he went to either of the maknaes about his ‘love issues’, knowing that they would just tease him at the slightest chance they got. But a little interact between Hoseok and Namjoon— the one Hoseok trusts a little more with his feelings.
GOD! It would be so cute, him trying to ask subtly about the right moves to make on a girl who he didn’t just want to fuck. Namjoon would probably easily pick up that it’s you, but not mention a single thing. The coy smile he’d have on his lips as Hoseok walks out the door to get the rose in question. I LOVE IT!
Hoseok’s little moves here are adorable. I would love to know if Hoseok is obvious with his movements because of how cocky he is, or rather because of how clumsy he is. I’m so very fond of either option, really. But I love how he is characterised in these scenes. It’s so cute

I just really adore the way he speaks in this, it’s clear (as well as thought the rest of the fic too) that op really did their research on the decades. Putting the spin on the type of dirty talk used while keeping that must have been difficult but it was so eloquently done.
God and finally, my other favourite scene that I get to squeal about:
GREASER HOSEOK THE CRIMES YOU HAVE COMMITTED AGAINST MY HEART!!!!! The panic that went through me when he first said I guess so, turning into him sweetly confessing his feelings. I felt like I was in the room waiting on my deathbed fr.
Especially with the last paragraph too, Hoseok mentioning how he isn’t the romantic type but he would do anything to see that smile.
Crying pissing throwing up. I ADORE YOU!!!!
God how terribly I want a happily ever after story for these, two. At the same time I also want to be at the table when the boys make snide comments about Hoseok finally settling down and ‘becoming a man’ or some shit because he finally fell in love.

Hoseok let out a chuckle as he slid into his and his boys’ usual booth.
As per tradition, Fridays called for lunch at Rosie’s Diner.
An old woman by the name of Rosie Salinger was the owner of the joint; she had been running the diner since right about around the turn of the 20th century. Her age didn’t mean much it would seem, as she was as notoriously feisty — her tongue and mind as sharp as the red cat-like glasses she sported on the bridge of her nose.
Hoseok let his eyes flicker over to the annoyed blond.
Taehyung was typically the group’s designated driver, but seeing as he no longer had a car — a result of a drag race gone south — Jungkook had driven this time around. Problem was that Jungkook was what one might call an… inexperienced driver.
On the way over to Rosie’s a squirrel had paused in the middle of the road and with Jungkook being the anxious driver that he was his foot found the break pedal abruptly, sending Taehyung straight into the rearview mirror.

God Jungkook is kind of an asshole. So is Taehyung. But it’s good. This is good. I like it a lot.
Taehyung is an asshole in the way that he doesn’t realise he’s being one. If you don’t speak up to him he’s not going to realise what he’s doing wrong (valid tbh) and he’s the type of man that lives for pleasure. He wants to experience all forms of it in all of the ways he can. He speaks his mind freely, not caring what other people think.
Jungkook is the opposite. Kind of a “high context” type of person. He’ll easily jump to conclusions that aren’t there. Assume the worst (or most likely, the best) in every situation. He’ll taunt and ready you without a care in the world until his own ego is bruised. Only then he’ll actually open up and tell you what he is thinking, though there is obvious strain

Tbh, I hate writing smut scenes but I love all the nuance and context sex can provide behind it in writing. It’s thrilling to me and gets me all jittery and excited in the best way possible
