So for one of my few first blogs, i want to get into detail why i think Metal Sonic has been getting gradually worse. I have as you see color picked all of Metals and Sonics colors to compare them to eachtoher, not only to give an idea whats going on, but also to make a point, where i believe metal having a bit of a purple hue fits him alot more, i feel like it suits him best because metal sonic is meant to be the opposite of sonic while also being sonic at the same time, and the purple making him a little bit less like sonic would work great, tho i feel like a darker shade of blue compared to sonic is also good, i feel like why i think metal isnt as cool as he used to be is because of the intimidating and menacing factor not being quite there anymore, in the sonic ova, he was perfect, it was what i think the best characterization of him as far as i remember, and i think him being reduced to not only just a filler boss, but also just not as toe to toe with sonic anymore like he was in cd just boring, i also think Sonic Heroes having his voice actually be voice acted very weird and not fitting, i feel like Sonic CD's Metallic Madness Bad Future JP voice u hear in the song fitting metal alot more as its completely devoid of emotion or tone, which contrasts against sonic alot better, tho i do think he should be mute almost all the time, the weird mechanical buzzing he does nowadays is okay at best, i also believe making him move with a more stiff pose like in CD's good ending animation would be cooler for him too, instead of making him more animated and alive looking. so long story short, voice acting him kind of blergh, giving him a purple tint to his blue is nice tho not neccessary, tho making him a darker shade of blue works too, he misses the intimidation and menacing factor he used to have. as for my personal favorite look for him, Mania, and the Sonic OVA being my favorite way how hes supposed to be like. i would like to go in more detail about my opinion but this post is long enough already, cya next time!
