Katis Introduction Scene

Kati’s Introduction Scene

A SOLE Project Excerpt

Every SOLE character gets an introduction scene like this one, though I will have to change some of them to make them more unique and distinctive. But the only changes this one will be going through is a cut, so why not memorialize it here?

Bright light burns into one of her eyes, then moves away to the other one. She blinks uncomfortably, moving her head from side to side in a drowsy attempt to get away from it.

“Ma’am?” a voice calls out, too loud and too close. “She’s awake.”

Footsteps approach with the sharp sound of high heels. She feels each step like a stab in the head. “Leave us,” a new voice commands, and she hears rather than sees the owner of the first voice hurry away.

“Kati?” The crisp, commanding tone of the woman’s voice has disappeared. It’s now gentle, and inquiring. “Kati, can you hear me?”

Calling all active writeblrs!!!

I'm in dire need of more people to follow!!

Things I love and want more of:

Fantasy

Darker themes

Character driven stories

Romance

Dragons (I go feral for those puppies!)

Mainly original work, whether it's a wip you're wanting to publish or just for fun. Fanfiction is cool too, but doesn't peak my interest at much (idk man, i've tried. trust me)

Silly shit posts about oc's

If any of those are you please interact with this post! also reblog it so I can stalk more lovely writers!

I can only offer you my love and affection, but I hope that is enough.

The Trial of Binding

From book 3 of The Chronicles of Water, titled "Pendulum Girl"

The Trial of Binding is a rigorous ritual in which a candidate must willingly submit themselves to bond with an immortal robe, granting them eternal life. This bon is forged through a gruesome process, where the candidate is placed into the life of a historical figure known for enduring a brutal and agonizing death.

The trial transcends both the physical and the spiritual, as the candidate's will is tested. They retain all memories of who they truly are while in the consciousness of this person of history, as well as knowing how their demise will come. With all the power to alter the course of history, the candidate must stay the course or be consumed by the robe itself as after death, there will be no coming back.

Should they stay the course and volunteer themselves to fate, their consciousness will return to their original body and they will be eternal from that point forward. They will become one with the robe. A symbiotic relationship.

Upon approaching the robe, the candidate receives communication. The robe speaks to them through premonitions. The candidate is enveloped in its presence. Forced to confront their fears and desires. the must accept their fate before donning the robe.

Many have attempted the trial and failed, destroyed by this sentient fabric. All who approach are made aware of this. Some lead by curiosity, other with caution, all with one goal in mind: immortality.

For more on this story, please follow, like and share. Upon completion, this story will be given out free to all! I've also been working on a way to make this a dnd homebrew item!

the look of love (for writers)

"it's all in the eyes i was once told"

catching the stare of someone across a crowded room

subtle furrowing of eyebrows beyond a blank facade

coldness easing into warmth

a fond mothering gaze

corner of the lip nudged upward

forced glower/glare as they break underneath

batting their lashes, playful

a boisterous laugh

intrigue piercing the stoic

proud smugness at the other's success

lingering glances

a childish joy bursting through

pupils dilate

eyelids shut in a look of peace, calm and trust

look of longing/betrayal

"there was once a time when they were mine"

terseness

features fold into a scowl

an urgent flinching back

coldness returns (as though the warmth had never come)

lips part then purse

invasion of shock

slow stare at the floor

the ripple effect of a swallow

frustrated breath/sigh

bitter laugh in reminiscence

dread tearing through the seams of their composure

look of hatred

"darkness"

mean smirk- teeth bared grimace- scowl

dismissive gaze

gaze of contempt/impatience

threat lowering the voice

sardonic goading grins verging on manic

rolling one's eyes

flicker of irritation in the eyes

stares stubbornly ahead despite distraction

gritted teeth, clenched jaw

fierce biting remarks

even measured complexions betraying no thought

strangling oneself back from violence

utter apathy

murderous silence hanging in the stare

snobbish laughter

smiling at another's downfall
