hello, sorry I've been gone for a bit I've been sick.

I'm letting you guys know that I've added another listing to my ko-fi for commissions and turn the price down for my previous listing. I know i said i was doing commissions to pay for new supplies but a emergency has come up in my home. Yesterday our AC broke down and its 500$ to fix it. I live in Arizona where the temp can go up to 115f in just this week so this needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

ok but legitimately i think the reason why kids aren’t taking internet safety seriously is because the people who are telling us not to put our personal information out seem so out of touch. no one acknowledges the possibility of meeting very real teenaged friends online, they always say that everyone you meet is a 40 year old white man in disguise. because they aren’t acknowledging things we know are true, it becomes a lot easier to dismiss the rest of what they’re saying as well. internet safety lessons absolutely must keep up with the times and acknowledge the internet’s capacity for good if you want kids to take to heart warnings about its capacity for bad.

They should make a "are you mad at me" that is taken neutrally and informationally every time and doesn't make everything worse when you ask it

You need to be okay with the fact that we are never going to have a perfect, morally outstanding, fix everything president because no one that perfect would ever run for office.

You need to know that you will not fix the system in 4 months because revolution takes time and unity, which no one here has.

You need to recognize that the freedom you have to suggest voting third party or not voting at all is not something you would have under Trump.

You need to realize every bad thing about Biden and Kamala applies to Trump tenfold and with additional shit.

You need to realize Palestine will be gone if you let Trump into office.

You need to realize you are not helping Palestine by throwing your vote away, only Trump.

You need to vote blue.

For those of us who can't, or those who won't.

You don't get to sit on the sidelines and play revolutionary when our country is on the line. Our very livelihoods are on the line. Our lives are on the line.

Not voting/voting third party is the absolute height of purity politics. It absolves you of nothing and proves that you care more about doing nothing wrong than doing one thing right.

leonard nimoy is actually so cool guys.

so, i just got back from a convention where i saw a panel with the lady that plays Saavik, leonard nimoy’s assistant for the star trek movies, and one of the main producers of the movies.

and just so y’all know! this panel was NOT supposed to be abt leonard nimoy!! like, maybe tangentially, but the point was to talk about working on The Search for Spock.

in spite of that!! they all spent pretty much the whole time talking about what a kind person leonard nimoy was. like - the assistant dude worked on star trek 3 and 4, and didn’t find out until after 4 was finished that paramount didn’t want to pay for nimoy to have a second assistant so nimoy payed him OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET.

and AND! the lady that played saavik was talking about how she had…no idea what she was doing as a young actor with very little experience. so, she approached leonard nimoy and explained that, and his solution was to sit her down before scenes and give her direction and guidance.

like. there were so many more stories like that that they told. and i guess since he’s someone i’ve always looked up to its really nice to hear that nimoy was just genuinely nice to the people working for him, you know?
