     sheik is a vessel of hylia’s light - though her light does fade within him if he passes into a hyrule that has another incarnation there. it’s a strange thing that happens, and he’s almost relieved when her light dies within his shadowed form. hylia is like the last reminder to him that he’s not a proper young man. he can live with his body, but the fact he has the sealing abilities of princesses is a social dysphoria that is only relieved by another zelda altogether. 

  so he keeps to the shadows of those borrowed hyrules, and only when he needs to use the sacred magic passed down in the royal family is his true nature revealed. 

   there’s always a slight flickering to the shadow’s presence. and as hyrule’s prince a soft shadow overtakes that light. it’s what you get with a sheikah on the throne.

bound by the fates as set in motion by malice king's curse. stories of the heroes, the villains, the inbetweens, the forgotten, the cherished.
