Here's a friendly reminder that using your limited spoons to do something you want to do, or you just find fun, isn't a "waste" even if there's something productive you could do instead. Caring for your mental health is important, and doing things you enjoy can be crucial to that.
The only way to make no mistakes at all is to do nothing at all. Life is filled with various opportunities, but every single one of them carries a risk of making a mistake. If you don't take the risk, you'll be stuck in the same place forever and that's not what life is for. Humans are made for progress, not for avoiding any stress and discomfort at all costs.
✨You are not a failure for having writers block.
✨You haven’t “let your audience down” for not updating in a while.
✨You aren’t a bad person for writing about problematic content.
✨You can always take a break from your writing, even if it’s for a significant amount of time.
✨You can always leave a project, work on something else, and come back to it later.
✨You aren’t a “bad writer” for only having a few projects.
✨You aren’t a “bad writer” for only having a lot of projects.
✨You aren’t a “bad writer” if you decide to only write about things that are important to you.
✨You don’t owe anyone continuous updates for a project.
✨You are a writer, and that’s enough.
I don’t know, who needs to hear this but forward is forward. One tiny step forward, is a tiny step in the right direction. Tiny steps are okay, they are still progress, and if tiny tiny steps is how you get forward, then that’s the pace for you, cause every tiny step is progress and any progress is worth celebrating. And I hope, you soon get to a point on your journey, where you realize how far you have come, and that many tiny steps in the right direction over time actually covers a lot of ground. 🌸
