I kinda like the idea of Metal-Head 2.0 being a "replacement" for donnie after a conversation he has with venus regarding the original Metal-Head and why he was never rebuilt.

Oday and his family, including his 7 year old sister, witnessed the unspeakable. His sister's husband's family was bombed in their tent, and they witnessed the bodies torn apart when they went to rescue possible survivors. The shock overtook him completely. I don't think any one of us could survive such a sight, finding our family members torn to pieces by the world's apathy and complicity.
