Honestly I think it'd be overall safer, and frankly more interesting, if people took their SAMS aus and made them into their own original stuff. I did that with my old au. I'd LOVE to see people make something new and original from their aus! That way you get to keep the bits you love and enjoy while leaving behind the rest you dislike. It's yours now. SAMS has been a good source for creative ideas, if nothing else. Plus the big blogs couldn't reasonably bitch and whine about it anymore cuz it wouldn't be SAMS. It'd just make them look like idiots.

I think we all have a version of a character we love that's not very accurate, but as long as people DON'T insist that their version of the character is the actual canon one (or worse, better than the canon--it's not; it's your ideal version so of course you think it's better), and acknowledge the differences, they're cool with me.

It's still really frustrating, though, the sheer black and white thinking. I think that's conditioned into us by the world, and people don't want to change because we want to follow our emotions and will gladly ignore anything that proves us wrong.

A few weeks ago, The Lunar and Earth Show was falsely terminated. YouTube has not given the reason for the termination, nor why the appeals have been denied

Our best chance to get the channel back at this point is to make some noise to get YouTube's attention about the situation ourselves. There's a post that goes into more detail about how to do so here, but the best way to get their attention is to @ the official YouTube Twitter account, and make a polite and respectful post asking to reinstate the channel
