These cupcakes I baked on Friday kept pretty well over the weekend (ambient stable) even with the buttercream icing. I made the icing this time yea! But not yea because the buttercream actually broke my mixer 😅 I've been hearing the motor on my stand mixer slowly going for a few months now. I have been waiting, watching, and listening, for the time that it does stop beating, quite literally. I'm not a mechanic, but sometimes I would love to just take things apart and look inside. I would have no hopes of putting anything back together again though. Probably make it worse than before it was broken 😅. I cannot even see a way to open my stand mixer to take a look. It could be something simple such as a nut/bolt that just needs replacing but there are a lot of rattling noises that occur as I move the stand mixer now and it does not even spin the attachments anymore, so the motor probably really is just broken. I have had this one particular stand mixer for around 8/9 years, I think. Picked it up from Aldi (or was it Lidl? It was one of them).

I have also been going through my drafts over the weekend and I thought I had scheduled some of them to the time that I wanted, but apparently one sneaked away and posted itself. I was a bit surprised when looking through the Rick and Morty tag this morning and saw the post 😅 So that post you saw earlier from me, I did contemplate deleting it, but I was going to post it anyways, so I left it. It also made me learn a few more things so I am up for the learning part. I have a lot of posts in my drafts. This goes back to when season 7 came out and I tried to remain spoiler free on my blog till the Friday of the same week when the new episode aired. I found myself saving posts to drafts, for future posting or reblog for those weekends, but I barely got around to doing this (I had not realised about queuing or scheduling posts at this point). Everyone is so quick with their fanart, fanfiction, or theories, which is amazing! I will not do this with the anime release this year, or Season 8 in 2025. I will just post. I like the organisation that the scheduling of posts brings though. I have found this to be a nice relaxing and calming activity for me to do for a few minutes. With organisation comes more tags! The first one is to do with my love for other TV series. I love a lot of adult animations and have started to browse through tags relating to them, such as Bob's Burgers and Final Space. I'll reblog these posts under the Fandom Friday tag. The second tag... I remember mentioning before that I have several posts I was unsure to reblog because they are of a more... spicier nature 😅 They are mainly just text posts of a few sentences and you have probably all seen them before, but I am generally late to the game with these things, so I will have a Thirsty TeaCake Thursday tag (or something similar). Prime Morty's story is already dark, but we've seen hints that other Mortys have a much darker journey. C-137 Rick can be a nightmare, but for all his fuckups, he actually loves his Morty and got attached to him. He's also one of the few Ricks who's willing to change.

Other Mortys don't have a grandfather. If the citadel grew them in a vat, they don't even have a family. They have a maniac who manipulated or genetically engineered them to be an obedient human shield, never questioning anything even when Rick leaves them to die like a disposable toy and restarts the cycle with another clone.

And those Ricks are probably pieces of shit in other ways, so it's haunting to think about what they get up to.

I can't believe that one of the biggest series reveals is that C-137 is TAME compared to those lunatics. That doesn't make him look good as much as it shows what monsters they are.

ik this isn't new or anything but the fact that aside from morty, the whole smith/sanchez house is canonically queer is so freaking cool! seriously how did this show amass so many anti sjw reddit ass men as a fanbase when 80% of the main characters are queer? i think summer got a female love interest in 2019 and beth's whole sapphic horse girl thing happened last season, but jerry and rick have been canon since season 2.

like idk im just saying this show is awfully gay and has been for a while. i genuinely don't get it when i see people bitching about rick and morty going woke or whatever.

i don't have anything like intellectual to say about the representation or queer themes in the show, it just makes me happy. having a family sitcom where the family is a fruit basket with one token straight isn't exactly a common occurrence, and it just so happens that's what my family's like. shoutout to morty and my mother, we love our allies
