I'm Not Shocked Op Is From NZ; Most Likely, They're Not Aboriginal. So, Of Course, They Are Going To
I'm not shocked op is from NZ; most likely, they're not aboriginal. So, of course, they are going to act like a colonial project is that big of a deal, seeing as their country is also one. "Worry about your own country first" you dumb dog hair female mutt. Our government sends billions to that settler colony ( like your country is) so of course our Palestine is our problem.
And for the Democrats in this reply section. How many more fake promises and hot air up your asses to see. That voting does shit nothing. Lol does the country literally have to be on fire under Democrat rule for y'all to snap out of it? Like y'all are jokes, completely.
Watching america's politics is a horror show but at least the memes are fun.
Gotta say though, a lot of young progressives look like they haven't learned anything since 2016.
"I'm not voting for the democrat, they're not good enough for me!" The communities whose rights are on the line will surely be comforted by your morals.
"What about Palestine?!" - Maybe worry about your own country becoming a fascist state first?
"But Harris was a cop! I heard she did Bad Things!" You heard right-wing bullshit disguised as left-wing bullshit and gobbled it. Self-defeating nonsense.
ETA: I'm from NZ and we recently did this 'teach them a lesson by not voting Labour because they're not good enough' strat and big shocker it didn't work. Everything's worse now.

Ragebait use to be believable

Love how you call people extremist when they call you out for basically saying that minorities should be nice to people who want to kill them. Like listen to yourself? Would you be nice to the thief who is openly stealing from you? Would you be nice to your kidnapper who has a gun pointed to you? No but wy do you expect minorities to be peaceful and respectful to the people who openly hated and murdered us for decades and still are?

Remember Khaliifah Marcellus Williams! A black Muslim man falsely accused. Remember that he's innocent. Remember that the governor of Missouri, mike Parson who had the opportunity to save this man's life, decided not to. Remember all but three supreme court justices decided his life wasn't worth saving either. Remember his face. Remember his Last words. And remember how fucked up this country is
Rest in peace Marcellus

What do the Jordan Peele fans think of this

I laugh at this not because you were telling a joke. But because of course it's not "politic" and "race-baiting" white folk. Seeing as it a lot of racial stereotypes towards black people. But what's even more funny in the whole "black-wash" bs. Since you'll know the grandmother in the REAL story was BLACK. but white-washing to y'all ain't a thing right?
The Deliverance (2024)

Considerably better than you'd expect from a 99% black-cast Netflix movie in 2024, this isn't really scary at all as a horror film, but it is decently written and acted, with pretty much no politics or race-baiting and a good bit of world-building and character work, even if the details introduced at the start don't really add up to anything in the end.
The one white character, Glenn Close, as the grandmother of the family in the hood beset by demons, is particularly good, and gets to display her range quite a bit more than you'd expect from a 77 year-old. I can't help but keep staring at how they blackfaced her in the poster to make her look the same colour as everyone else on it.
I guess The Deliverance was aiming to be the black Exorcist, a goal it fails quite badly at, and all the Christian superpowers on display in the ending can't save it from feeling ultimately shallow and inconsequential. But it's still a fairly fresh take on an old tale, done with honest intent, and, as I say, better than you'd expect from anything from Netflix in the current year, so worth a single watch if you're into that sort of thing, even if you'll likely never want to go back to it again.
