No matter the supposed “quality” of the project or what if it is made out of true passion and love it is always good 100 percent of the time.

Here's an original character for the Subnautica fic I'm writing! His name's Alec and he is also traumatized by the ocean planet now. Neither of them knows how or why it happened since they both distrust each other but he's Ryley's latest adopted sibling.

• Tiny ball of chaotic reckless energy, regularly goes up against reapers with just his repulsion cannon

Nobody tells you that 90% of being a fic writer is telling yourself sternly that you CANNOT start a new wip until you finish one of the old ones, and then failing to write anything at all as your brain sulks like a toddler.

He lies in the dirt in the middle of the woods, with leaves and roots around him. The thing pulling him down gently coaxes him deeper into the ground, and he doesn’t fight it. He lets the forest floor cover him, until it blinds his eyes and seeps into his mouth and his nose, until it fills his lungs with dirt and roots and leaves. He can’t breathe, but that’s okay, because he doesn’t need to anymore. He’s not himself now. He’s part of the forest, he is the forest, and if the forest breathes, it is not with human lungs.
