Warning(s): +18, Non con, Physical abuse, Manhandling, Oral (F receiving).
Author's note(s): Reader's punishment turns into a reward oop--
Tommy shows you the consequences of humiliating him, or so you thought.

Tommy opens the door, âOut,â he huffs. You look up, still trapped in a fear ridden trance. His face is twists when he shouts, âNOW!â his booming voice made you jump. Slowly, you exit the vehicle with your head hung low, as you follow him into the house. Each step felt heavier than the next. Until you had to drag your feet across the gravel.
As soon as youâve made it inside, Tommy shoves you against a wall. It knocks the wind right out your lungs. His form towers over yours. His face now in front of yours, his nose brushes against yours, âWhat the fuck was that? Hm?!â he huffs. Your bottom lip quivers, âI-I didnât mean to lead him on Tommy...I-I swear-â you sob. He scoffs, âBut you did ohâŠyou did just that my love,"

How could you explain what really happened if he kept denying you a chance?! Tommy had kept pushing you today. To the point where it angered you enough to your raise your voice, âItâs not like that! Iâm not one of those whores you've slept with!â your hands reach to cover your mouth. You couldnât believe you were brave enough to stand up to him. Especially after the incident you pulled.
Tommy would often compare you to them. During his single bachelor days, him and his brothers spent most of their nights going through woman after woman. He'd taunt you with how you were now his personal whore, his property, and that no one else should touch what's his. All he sees is red. He hauls you over his shoulder, "Is that what you want? To be treated like a whore?!"
You barely have enough time to register what was happening before he threw you on nearest couch. You lift yourself up to face him. Your dress straps sliding down in the process. He's on top of you, straddling your waist as he grips your chin and growls, âTurn around, don't make me say it again,â he pulls your zipper down. Your gown slides off your figure. No longer are you hidden from his eyes.
A hand pushes down on your lower back. You land on the couch. Your head turns to the side with your cheek pressed firmly against a cushion. Your hands clench the soft material. Mentally youâve adapted, but physically was always the hard part. What you werenât ready for was a harsh slap against your rear.
Your head whips back in confusion, spotting Tommy readying to strike again. One of your hands reaches behind to push him away but your attempt was futile. He only stops briefly to unbuckle his belt. Your wrists are held together as he wraps them with the leather binding.
He proceeds to strike your backside over and over again. Each sting harsher than the next one that follows. No sign of hesitation or mercy was shown. No such thing existed in the house of Thomas Shelby. Youâve learned your lesson from before, during that horrid night.

After a while his firing ceases. He takes a step back to gaze at the display in front of him. His little wife was bent over with fresh markings that decorated her backside. A provocative view had made blood rush straight to his manhood. A strain now beginning to form in his trousers. Your seductive position was luring in his primitive side, and he wants a taste.
All of a sudden, you feel a wet sensation against your folds. Tommy began licking long, strong stripes against your cunt. Two of his digits spread your lips. While his tongue now delved into your opening. You felt the muscle flicking around inside. The feeling alone made your walls flutter with bliss. His other arm held you in place. You felt his fingers digging into your fresh bruises. You whine from the sting, hissing from the raw pain.
Tommy notices your discomfort. He tilts his head up to bury his tongue deep into your womanhood. Your small gasps turn into moans. Only Tommy had the power to turn your pain into pleasure. A minute in had you soaked and pushing your hips back. So close yet so far from an orgasm. He was teasing you on purpose. A long finger dips in and your back arches. He pulls it out to inspect. His fingers now coated with your arousal.
Tommy shows you the outcome, âThis what you wanted dear?â he presses his head against your ear and whispers, âDid you miss your husband? Is that it?â his breath tickles the shell, causing you to jerk your neck back. You flash him a tearful glare, âNo...â was all you could muster. He chuckles, âNo?â amusement lingers his voice. He presses his tip against your folds before jerking his hips up. You gasp from the stretch. It was rough yet pleasurable, like a slow burn.
Tommy began thrusting at a jagged pace. His hands cling your hips. His pelvis slams your forward as he ruts roughly into you. Everything about the act itself was dripping with lewdness, but oddly enough it felt amazing. His voice now a deep groan, âTell me, who fucks you this good?â he slows down his pace. Now grinding his hips now rotating in a torturous motion that made your toes curl with pleasure. When you could only muster up a moan, he slaps your rear again for an answer. You yelp, âYou do!â
âSay it again, like you mean it,â his voice is louder while his pace quickens,
âYou fuck me this good Tommy! Only you!â Â
He returns to bludgeoning your womanhood. Right against that sweet, sensitive spot. He doesnât stop even after you come undone and made a mess of the expensive cushions. Tommy made sure to finish inside, filling you to the brim. You couldn't believe how shameless youâd become.
All because of this man. You pry yourself up on your elbows. You lift your head off of the now wet cushion. Your makeup long ruined and face now flushed with fresh tears of humiliation. As always, Tommy had gotten exactly what he wanted. Lighting up a cigarette after having his way with you.

Hidden Treasure (Part 3)
Arranged Marriage AU: Dark!Tommy Shelby x Wife!Reader
Warning(s): Threats, Physical Harm, Domestic Violence.
Author's note(s): The day of the wedding.
As soon as you arrived home, your parents inform you of their encounter with the Shelby family. You were to be married off to a man by the name of Thomas Michael Shelby. A well-respected war veteran, who puts his family first. From the sound of it, he seemed to be the man of your dreams. Little did you know, within a month from now, this man would be your worst nightmare.

He had been described to you as a family man, who looked out for his loved ones. That's what first caught your attention. Any other information had been a blur, filtered out by rose-tinted lenses. Until you realized the wedding would be in a few days. Your anxiety took the best of you. As you began to spend most nights worrying about the worst possible outcomes for the wedding. You prayed that everything would go well. There was a faint bit of confidence that your parents made the right decision. They only wanted what was best for your future.
It had been days since Tommy had uttered a single word to his aunt. To his entire family. At first, he didnât show his anger. But with each day leading to the wedding, it had felt like a dagger had been pierced though his very soul. Almost as if he were betraying the memory of his beloved Grace. He hadnât tried to keep in contact with any of the other family members either. Even Polly had been taken aback by her nephewâs strange shift in nature. Heâd never been this stubborn. Not even when heâd been a child.
Only when his aunt threatened to cut him out of the family business did he change his attitude. His brothers noticed the changes as well. Tommy was always on edge. Now more than ever. Arthur and John suggested to go all out before he became a married man once again. It had been the three Shelby brothers against the world. Drinking, partying, and gambling 'til their heartâs content. On the morning of the wedding, Tommy woke up still half drunken from the day before. He knew his brothers and men were waiting for him outside. Of course, under Pollyâs strict orders. Just in case her nephew decides to have cold feet.
He readies himself for the big day. He works diligently on preparing himself. Not because he cares, but because it helps to distract him from the ongoing train of thoughts. He almost nicks himself during mid-shave, mumbling a curse under his breath. Never in his life would it take him this long to get ready. Part of him wishes he could stop everything and go back to bed. As if this day never existed. He snorts a line, rubbing the tip of his nose clean to get rid of the evidence.
Tommyâs men lean against their cars. A few check the time just to make sure they werenât late. Arthur is first to notice how suspiciously long his brother has been. John walks to the front door. Before he could manage to knock, Arthur stops him from going any further. Suddenly the door flies open. Itâs Tommy. He finally steps out, taking a huff from his cigarette, âWell boys, this is it.â

Together the Shelby men make their way to the church. Tommy doesnât speak a word during the entire ceremony. Not once had he faltered from his stone-cold gaze.
That is until he lifts up his soon-to-be wifeâs veil. A bashful beauty, dressed from head-to-toe in a silk white gown. Sheâs the human embodiment of an angel, on her way to meet the devil himself. Tommy smirks to himself. He might as well have a little fun with the future Mrs. Shelby.
Itâs the first time youâve met your husband. As soon as you felt him lift up your veil, you began to panic internally. To your surprise, you couldnât believe how handsome he was! You blush when his eyes meet yours. Thereâs a slight twitch of nervousness from your cherry-stained lips. He smirks at your reaction. What a gullible little girl your were. When he takes your hands in his, you could practically feel your heart throbbing. You only hope he would be as kind as what you were told.
There was a sudden pause at the end of the ceremony. Tommy held your hands in his and placed a chaste kiss on your lips, they felt warm and inviting. You didnât even realize how your head leaning towards his until he pulls back. You duck your head with embarrassment. It's your first kiss, and youâve already made a fool of yourself.
After sharing vows and greeting each guest, you bid your family goodbye. Your little niece and nephew are the last ones to receive your affection before being led off by your now husband. You're sat in the backseat of his car. Sitting shoulder-to-shoulder. This was a strange feeling. But it wasn't like you had a choice. Your parents werenât getting any younger, as were you. It was about time you settled as well. It felt strange though. Knowing that this would be a lifetime of commitment, until death.
I guess this is it...Iâm a married woman now.
It didn't feel real, sitting beside your now husband, Mr. Tommy Shelby. How handsome he was indeed. A sight for sore eyes. You felt giddy seated in the back of the car. You had never been left in the same room as a man before. Maybe after some time youâd grow familiar to his intimidating presence.
Tommy speaks up, âGet out,â
âI-Iâm sorry?â your brows furrow in confusion. He tilts his head towards the direction of his estate.
Oh, right, how silly of you.
From now on this would be your new home. As soon as you step foot inside it felt a bit off. His home was very spacious, but also somewhat lonely. Almost...sad. You spoke up, âHow long have you lived here?â trying to start a conversation.
âLong enough,â Tommy walks up the stairs. You remove your shoes before following him up the flight. You were ready to open the luggage that had been left waiting in hisâyour room. But to your surprise the baggage had already been unpacked by the help. You look around, studying just who Tommy Shelby was. His bedroom is simple. His lifestyle isâŠcomplicated. That you would be discussing later.
When your eyes meet the king-sized bed, your body physically tenses. Just the thought of being with a strangerâbedding a stranger, didnât sit well with your conscious. Even if there was a wedding ring. Deep down you knew there would be no backing down. You were already in too deep. Hopefully he was an understanding man.
You scan the room in search of any other place to sit. To your dismay there hadnât been any chairs available. You lift the front of your dress before walking to the bed and taking a seat. This time Tommy follows you to sit on the bed. His coat and hat are long gone. His hand now holding yours. A wedding ring he gave you glimmers in the dim lighting. Tommy looks into your eyes as he caresses your cheek. Itâs a sweet, tender moment at first.
Then his grip begins to tighten. It became almost painful with his ring digging into your jaw. His thumb held your chin in place. His voice is deep and menacing, filled with venom, âYour job is to be a dutiful wife, alright? Donât expect anything special, do you understand?â He tilts your head up, âDo.you.understand?â that was one way to break a girlâs fantasy.
Tommy wanted to make sure youâd comply to his every bid, no matter what. Even if it meant scaring you into submission. You look up to meet his icy blues then down to avoid his intimidating gaze, ââŠY-yes.â you faintly reply. He lets go. You rub your face. His strength was not something that compared to the average man.
You make a mental note not to get on his bad side. The room is silent for a bit before you chirp up, ââŠMay I please retire for the night?â deep down part of you just wanted him to leave. Nothing could make you more upset than now, or at least thatâs what you thought. Tommy could tell you were on the edge by the way your hands shake, cautiously peeling the lace veil from your hairs.
You began to remove all jewelry and drop them onto the nightstand. One by one, you remove each gift your husband bestowed upon you. The very last item had been a diamond necklace. You unclasp the small chain. But before you could drop it on the nightstand you hear him call for you. His voice is sturdy, âNo, keep it on, I want to see you wear that and only that for when we get started,â

Warning(s): None.
Author's note(s): Polly finds the perfect woman for her nephew.
Today was a profitable day. You managed to sell some pastries made from scratch and made a good earning. Youâre thankful for whatever money you could get out of the leftovers. There were enough to purchase some ripe berries for a tart. A happy sigh escapes your lips, it was a productive day indeed.

Life was hard, but at least you and your family had each other. Youâre grateful for every moment of it. But for some reason, there was this gut feeling that told you it wouldnât last very long. As if you'd sensed there was something that was about to happen. Something that would change your life forever.
Later that day
A bell chimes from your family's bakery door. Two men walk in, dressed from head-to-toe in tailored suits. One sporting a mustache, the other with a toothpick poking from the corner of his smirk. They part from each other to reveal a shorter woman in fancier clothing.

Your father looks up from the floor, he stops sweeping, âGood morning madame,â he nods. Her ruby lips curl into a smirk. She tilts her sunglasses down the bride of her nose and glances around, âA very good morning to you as well.â Thereâs a sudden pause. Itâs silent for a brief moment. Your father is first to break the ice, âIs there anything I can get you with?â
âOh no, Iâve come here solely on business, you see, I would like to purchase your bakery.â she bats her eyes. Her aura reeked of wealth, of power. Your father hums, âSorry, no can-do maâam, this here is all I have to my name, and I have a family to care for, I hope you can understand,â
âYou donât have to worry about that any longer, I can assure you that this deal will benefit all of us,â she grins from ear to ear. Your old man raises a brow. He leans the broom against a wall, limping his way to a seat placed at the counter, âWhat do you have to offer?â
It only took a few minutes to discuss scheduling an official meeting. Polly leaves the bakery now filled with glee. Sheâs in quite the pleasant mood. Arthur and John exchange glances with each other, questioning whether or not it had been a wise decision. But then again, they werenât the ones who called the shots.
Soon enough, Polly arrived at Tommyâs office in a cheerful mood, slamming the office door open. Her nephew looks up from his desk then to his watch. It was almost dinner time. Which means she shouldâve been with his son by now. Tommy stills his pen, âWhoâs watching Charlie?â
âHeâs with his uncles, as should you be, thereâs an important family meeting to attend to dear nephew,â a hint of glee in her voice didnât sit well with him, âWhen?â he huffs out.

Polly quips, âNow.â that was an order. Tommy is hesitant to get up but pushes through. He stores his reading glasses into a case before locking them in a cabinet. His aunt holds out an arm for him to take. He wonders what exactly his clever auntie had in store for them this time. When the two arrive at the Garrison theyâre met with the rest of the Shelby family. With John and Arthur looking especially nervous for him. Ada on the other hand is absolutely giddy, not sure if sheâll be able to hold it in before Polly spills the news.
They all wait for the Shelby matriarch to begin. As Polly stands up, tall and proud to announce the important news, âA celebration is in order," she grips her nephew's shoulder, "Congratulations TommyâŠyouâre getting married,â she clasps her hands together, intertwining her fingers. Tommy doesnât say a word, his eyes widen for a split second. His expression quickly turns into a scowl, âPollâŠâ Tommy is at a loss for what to say next. Just when his day couldnât get worse, âNo.â
âOh, hush now, you didnât see John complain when we had to set him up,â
âYou werenât there to tame him,â he retorts. Arthur on the other hand, agrees with his aunt, âSheâs got a point...â. Tommy looks up to his older brother with a look of bewilderment as Arthur quickly ducks his gaze.

Polly made sure to have Tommy visit the family in person. His own brothers, his own men followed her orders not to leave him out of their sights. After a few days of constant harassment and threats, he had finally caves in. And so, it landed the Shelby members on the other side of town. Where they stood right in front of an old-fashioned building. This was the address of Tommy's soon-to-be wife.
Polly swiftly turns to her nephew, âListen to me well boy: Under no circumstances will you to try to scare them off, got it?â she points a gloved finger in his face, scolding him as if he were still a child. He glares at her before giving a slight nod. Polly retrieves a bouquet of roses from the car. They were the same ones you' had been eyeing at the marketplace. She remembers how you would stop by the florist just to smell them. She hands them to her nephew, âI expect you to give this to her,â before proceeding towards the house.

Polly knocks on the front door. A woman opens it. Her eyes are soft and welcoming, a bit worn out by time. She smiles softly at the two, âPolly, itâs good to see you!â she shakes her hand, planting a kiss on each cheek. Polly embraces her in a tight hug, âItâs good seeing you as well my dear,â She firmly grasps her nephew's arm, pulling him into their conversation, âThis is my nephew I've told you about, Tommy Shelby,â
âGood evening, Ma'am,â He curtly greets the other woman. Pollyâs friend raises a brow, âMy, what a handsome lad!â she giggles, âPlease, come in, come in!â she waves her hand for them to follow. The girlâs mother had informed them, that their daughter couldn't be here today. You were left to care for the bakery all by yourself. Tommy didnât like that, not one bit. No future wife of his should be slaving herself away. If he canât choose his future wife, fine. But once married the only role you would be taking is a dutiful wife.
They make their way into the living room, passing by a framed photo of the family. A young husband stood behind his wifeâs seat as he held his eldest daughter. Their youngest sat shyly in her motherâs lap. More and more photos of them were scattered across the wall. Each picture told a story. It had shown throughout the years that their daughters have blossomed into beautiful women.
Their latest family photo had been small wedding. Their eldest daughter had grown into a blushing bride. Her mother held her fatherâs shoulder, as he tried his best not to tear up. Tommy recognizes his face immediately. After all, it was his fault the man had ended up in such a condition. He felt as though he owed him a favor. He's now face-to-face with the man. Polly is the one to introduce him, âThis is my nephew-â
âThomas Shelby.â the old baker spoke up, âItâs good to see you, old friend,â
Pollyâs attention is now set on her dear nephew, âYou know each other?â sounding genuinely concerned that her nephew may have sabotaged the unification, before even having a chance to finalize it. But that wasnât the case at all. In fact, this was the man who had saved Tommyâs life.
During the war, the older man had been responsible for rescuing countless young men. From either being buried alive or blown to bits. But in the end, it did cost him. He could say proudly that the loss of his leg, was a fair exchange for the countless lives of his fellow companions. Tommy had no choice but to accept the proposal, the girlâs dowry had already been paid in full. After their meeting, the two families exchanged their goodbyes, gIving a few hugs and kisses before parting. Polly turns around to give one final wave, âWelcome to the family.â before entering the vehicle.

Little did they know, you were already on your way home. Unaware of what the future had in store. Your fate was sealed, as was his.

Author's note(s): Alfie has a surprise for our reader!
For once, during the entire time youâve spent married to him, Tommy Shelby had fallen asleep first. He spoons you from behind. Allowing an arm to drape over your mid drift. As if his subconscious was afraid of losing you. But it was far too late. Mentally, you were long gone.

You stare out a window while brushing your fingers through his raven locks. He slept just like Charlie. He looked innocent doing so. A child like his had no choice but to be dragged into this lifestyle. You remember the effort Tommy would put, all for the sake of his sonâs happiness. He wasâis a good father.

You slowly drag yourself out of bed. Careful not to wake him up. You slip into a robe before heading down the stairwell. You couldnât sleep. Hopefully things will have settled down and Finn would arrive here soon. You pour yourself a glass of water before taking a seat in the kitchen.
Then, all of a sudden, you heard footsteps. It came from the staircase. You follow the sound. Already regretting ever stepping out of bed. You shouldâve known Tommy would be up and alert as soon as you tried sneaking out. There was a nervous coil in your stomach. You try your best not to tear up, but the thought of what his next punishment would be terrifies you.
When you reach the stairwell there was no one in sight, âT-tommy? Tommy is that you-â someone holds your shoulder in a firm grip before pulling you towards them. Before you get a chance to scream a hand reaches in, muffling your cries. A familiar voice hushes you, âShh! Itâs me Finn!â he removes his hand to give you time to breathe, âFinn...whereâs Charlie?â
âDonât worry about him, we need to get you out of here,â he leads you out of the house quietly. All thanks to Tommy, who made sure to give each member of the Shelby family a key to his house. As soon as youâve stepped outside thereâs a car waiting outside. The youngest Shelby ushers you in, âHere. take this,â he hands you a bag full of money, âIâll buy you some time, go,â

âOh Finn..thank you,â you give him a quick peck on the cheek. He smirks from the sweet gesture. Finn makes sure to wait in the house until he was sure that the car was out of sight. Now the real task was how he would stall his older brother.

Your driver didnât brother starting conversation. He only kept his eyes glued to the road ahead. A light trickling of rain starts to get heavier by the minute. You try relaxing despite the loud pattering of water hitting the windows. A loud boom of thunders startles you, and suddenly the car stops, âWeâre arrived to your destination madame,â
âThank you...â
This was it. There was no turning back now. Each step you took felt heavier than the next, and before you knew it you were in front of the door. One knock was all it took for someone to answer. When the man had opened the door he made sure to look around for any unwanted followers, âNow whatâs this eh?â
âAre you Mr. Alfie Solomons?â
âWhoâs asking?â

âI am,"
He tries shutting the door closed but you block it, âWait! wait please! hear me out! I was sent by a member of the Peaky Blinders! Itâs urgent!â
He stops and sighs, âFucks sakeâŠdo the blinders ever sleep? Alright, come in, before you catch a cold,â He opens the door, and you follow him inside. You told Alfie every important detail. From the marriage negotiations to the deal that would unite both of your families, along with the many reasons why you wanted to leave. You hadnât told him the entirety of your marital discord, only what you were comfortable with sharing.
Alfie nods and adds a side comment every now and then. By the time you were finished he still remained poise as ever, âFascinating story love it really is.â He looks down to the table, his eyes linger at your cup, âLet me get you another one yeah? You can relax now,â he quickly retrieves the dish before making his way to the kitchen. You let out a long sigh of relief, âThank you sir,â you would be forevermore grateful to have met this man.

He was a bit rough around the edges, but over all a softie deep down. Alfie stops to take the tray with him on his way to the kitchen. You glance down at the cups. Now realizing what had just happened. Alfie never took a sip from his tea. You stand straight only to take a few wobbly steps away from the man in front of you. He stares your way but not at you. NoâŠit was towards the person standing behind you. Before you could turn around to see who it was you succumb to a deep slumber. The last thing you felt were sturdy arms holding you up.
Alfie looks up to his companion before sitting himself down, âMy heart is broken Tommyâyou know it really is, I thought we were best friends you and I,â he holds a hand to his chest. Tommyâs patience was running thin, âYou took my wife,â he cocks a gun at him, âGive me one good reason why I shouldnât shoot you,â
âNow donât get it twisted, yeah? She came to me, begging to be taken away from her evil husband,â
Tommy still glaring at the man, tucks his gun away. Alfie shifts in his chair and sighs, âYou couldâve at least invited me to your wedding mate,â

During the car ride you slid in and out of consciousness. Those few minutes had felt like hours. When the car stops you start weeping, âN-no, no pleaseâŠdonât make me go back in thereâŠ!â You clutch into his arm and plead for forgiveness. Tommy had to drag you out. Your nails dig into the backseat.
Whatever Alfie had given you made you more hysterical that youâve ever felt before. You muster all your energy to flail a leg right on his face, causing a crunching sound to come from his nose. He stumbles from the blow. To your surprise, the kick had been harder than expected. But not hard enough to yield his advances. Tommy hauls you into his arms, as if he were parent dealing with a stubborn infant. You were so, so close. Yet it was all for nothing.

Warning(s): Kidnapping, Physical harm, Physical assault.
Author's note(s): We see it all unwrapping!
Tension rises within the Shelby family, and your husband is to blame for it all.

Tommy drags you into the living room. Where the rest of his brothers await. Finn is seated. Your eyes widen from the sight of his bruised and battered form. A cut lip, complimented with a black eye and small bruises that littered his body. There was a firm handprint right against his throat. As if someone had him pinned down. You were all too familiar with the feeling. There was no doubt that this was Tommy's doing. You could practically hear your blood boiling. Your maternal instincts kicking in as you saw red.
You twist out of your husbandâs grip and rush towards the young boy, âFinn! What have they done to you?!â Your hands cup his face, causing him to wince in pain. He tries not to squirm in discomfort, âSâalright mâfineâŠIâm sorry I couldnât help you...â he looks away in shame, defeat. Your heart breaks for him. Your hand combs through his hair cooing him, âNo, you didnât, it was bound to happen,â you turn around and make your way towards Tommy. You were tired of hiding, Tired of being silenced, Tired of smiling through the hell that he had put you through. You choose not to be afraid of him anymore. Enough was enough. No more. Because now? You were fucking fuming, âYouâŠâ
âHello dear.â He replies nonchalantly. Keeping a straight posture.
âYou bastard!â you shrieked.
âNice to see you tooââTommyâs head swings to the side from the slap heâd received. You grab him by the back of his neck, Like the many times heâd done to you and growl, âYou couldâve done something to me for running off, but instead you had to take it out on Finn! Like a fucking coward!!â you bark at him. He turns his head around. Your backhand was much stronger than he'd expected. A faint trickle of blood drips from his nose. He swipes it with a finger to examine, âNot too bad...could be betterâŠâ judging your strike.

You hissed in his face, âThen fight back!" you slap his chest, "Fight back like you always do!â your voice begins to break, âOr is it because you donât want your family to know? How much of a monster you were to me?!â
He pulls your wrists together. It was futile to retrieve them back. Tommy held you close, âIâm not going to fight you.â his voice is softer.
âWhy not?!â you spat.
âBecause you wouldnât last, not in your condition,â as soon as he glances down your blood ran cold. Tommy had finally found your little secret. His eyes are glue to your belly, âFor how long?â he reaches to caress the faint bump. You look down at his hand now resting against it and bit your bottom lip, âSince the last time we went to the Garrison,â
More specifically the same night he had dragged you out of the bar in front of everyone. Soon after firing his gun. Watching the people scatter through the streets, like sewage ratsâŠit made your stomach twist.

Tommyâs voice breaks the flashback, âWhy didnât you tell me?â his voice is soft. His eyes show a genuine concern for your well being. You tell him your complete and honest truth,
âI was scared you didnât want it, because it was obvious you didnât want me, and youâre only now treating me different because Iâm carrying your child...howâŠâ tears began to welt, streaming down your cheeks, ââŠHow could you be so cruel to me?â you sob. Tommy pulls you into his chest. You bury your face into his coat.
He felt a guilt like no other. He knew he had only himself to blame for everything that had happened, âI have not been a proper husband, and I understand why you would want to leave, being the circumstances that I put you throughâŠand Iâm sorry...â his hands cup your face. His thumbs glide against your wet cheeks. Your face scrunches as you slap his hands away, âThen whyâd you hurt Finn?! He was only trying to help me!â
Finn scratches the back of his head, âWellâŠactually I sort ofâŠstarted it, as soon as they asked me, I started raining hell on 'em,â it was during the morning after. Tommy had plans to spend all day with you and Charlie. How long had it been since heâd slept that well? Too long for him not to remember. But to his surprise, heâd awoken to his wife missing. Part of him hoped that you were probably downstairs in the kitchen preparing for breakfast as you usually would.
No matter how often the maids would offer to help you refused. This was the one thing you had to yourself. He didnât mind. It was adorable seeing you so focused on perfecting a meal instead of a tart. When Tommy arrived at the kitchen, he expected you to be seated already with breakfast done. However, you were nowhere to be found. All of the maids were gone as well.
At that instance Tommy knew there was something wrong, very wrong. He searches every room calling, yelling for your name. By now you were probably long gone. He picks up bits of his scattered clothes. Time was scarce. Every minute mattered. Tommy rounds up his best men, not to search but to interrogate. There was no way an enemy couldâve gotten this close to his house. Not without him knowing. Someone had betrayed him, heâs sure of it.
He finds out who when his brothers arrive. One of them is suspiciously late, Finn. When the younger Shelby arrived at the house he isnât as alert as he usually is. In fact, heâs quite relaxed. Tommy knew it had all been an act. He stands right in front of him. He reads the younger boy like a book. What gave it away were his shoes. Finn had gotten new shoes a few days ago. In what situation would a young lad refuse to wear them? If theyâve been ruined. Finn must have been out last night during the storm.
Tommyâs hands ball into fists, he snarls in his face, âIâm only going to tell you this once Finn: Where. Is. She?â a storm was brewing inside Tommy. Finn remembers your promise. He remembers the way your lip quivered with fear of failing. He flashes his older brother a grin before tackling him to the ground.
But Tommyâs strength eventually surpasses his, the elder Shelby flips him over, holding Finn by the throat. Finnâs fingers dig deep into his arm but nothing would avail. John and Arthur have to pry them from each other. But like any other Shelby, Finn doesnât go down without a fight. He gave it his all but against three soldiers. Only for it to end as a lost cause.
You smack his arm then pinch his ear, âThatâs for making me worry!â then embrace him in a hug. For a brief moment heâs confused if youâre still angry at him or not but then relaxes in your arms. He chuckles, âThe only reason why theyâre allowing me to be here was because I told him that if he didnât let me see you, Iâd rat him out to Polly,â
You raise a brow, âAnd he believed you?â
âNo, so I told him I already did,â He grins. You donât know what fate has in store for Tommy. All you could do is pray for her to listen to your side of the story. Itâs about time Thomas Michael Shelby dealt with the wrath of Ms. Elizabeth Gray. He knew at some point heâd have to tell her about theirâŠmarital problems. Him and his brothers had kept it a secret for far too long. Now everything had spiraled out of control.
He arrives to the church, the same one he had been married in, twice. Where heâll have to face the Shelby Matriarch. Tommy sits himself in the booth right behind her. He sighs, âShe wanted to leave me Polly,â his shoulders sink, âIâve changed, more than what I was willing to at first, thereâs no reason why she would want to leave now,â His fingers twitch in his lap, "I don't want to lose her,"
Polly turns around. Her temper had gotten the best of her. Slap after slap lands on her nephew. Her voice booms, âHave you gone mad?! Why does she want to leave?!â Echoing off the churchâs walls. Polly throws in a few good smacks at him. Someone has to. âYouâre a grown man Thomas, for fucks sake act like one! Stop relying on this poor girl to fix youâfix yourself for her! If you think you can just take and take from a good woman and expect her to be fine with it?! Youâre a damn fool!â Polly almost falls out of her seat. She catches her breath.

She held her nephew by the shoulders for balance, âIf any harm ever comes to that girl ever again, I will make sure to hunt. You. Down,â She huffs. Her expression changes to confusion when Tommy looks up, his eyes now glossed over, âHow can I fix this?â
âYouâre asking the wrong person,â Polly scolds before walking to the front to give a small prayer. As soon as she crosses herself, she promptly leaves, ignoring Tommy who now sulked all alone. After the war, he had almost lost all faith. After Grace had died, so had a part of him that believed there was something better. Then you came along. You, who had tried so hard to fix a broken man like him. What did he do to deserve a treasure like you?
For the first time in years Tommy decides to pray. He prays for only one thing: Your happiness. Whether it included him or not didn't matter.
Hidden Treasure (Part 1)
Arranged Marriage AU: Dark!Tommy Shelby x Wife!Reader
Warning(s): None.
Author's note(s): Iâve been holding this off for a while and I am so sorry for that! Anyways hereâs the Tommy fic I was requested to do a while back! Itâs also super long so please be patient Iâm not good with details/creative writing!!
Your marriage to Tommy was a living nightmare, starting on the very first day you met, the day of your wedding. As soon as you say the words, âI doâ it was final. He made sure you would never be able to leave. There is no escaping the demon of Birmingham.

âPlease sir...I need a place to stayâjust for tonight, I promise you Iâll be on a boat first thing tomorrow, I swear on my life!â you fell to your knees, both hands clasped together in a prayer-like form. Your entire body shivered, dripping from head-to-toe from the freezing rain. Your face is dull, almost sickly-looking from the wind.
Your eyes were already brimming with fresh tears, as you look up at the older man and plead, âP-please I just want to be free of him. I just want my freedom!â At this point youâve swallowed down any pride you've once had. Youâre exhausted, absolutely spent. Your spirit couldn't be any more broken than what it already is. Alfie stood up. His height towers over yours even while slouching. In the past, you wouldâve been intimidated by a gangster like him, but youâve learned long ago that looks can be quite deceiving. He clears his throat, âLook...do you have any idea what you'll do once you're in the states?â sounding as if he had no faith in your little escape plan.

You glare back at him, âI'll do anything, Iâll work for dirt if it means Iâll be free from my damned husband,â you huff out. Alfie raises a brow, âYouâre running away because of some marriage dispute?â but before he could say anything else, youâve already beaten him to it, âIt wasnât my choice, dammit!â there's a hint of venom with each word, âMy father canât take care of himself!â your vocal cords starting to ache from the pressure, yet you still continued, âMy mother is far too old to work! I had to agree to the marriage to ensure that someone would care for them, I had to wait until my sister and her husband arrived, so that they would be cared for!â you cry out. Alfie shrugs off your outburst, âYou donât think heâll go after them? Hm? Before you even set a fucking foot on that boat,â he turns around, tending to the fireplace.
You mutter, âIâd rather drown on that boat then live the rest of my life as Mrs. Shelby...â thatâs when Alfie stops poking at the wooden blocks. He turns around with a genuinely surprised expression," 'Pardon me maâam but Mrs. fucking what?â his hand gestures to an ear as he tilts his head in. Now, heâs intrigued. He was told that you were escaping a gangster, but never told which one.

You look the man up and down, taking a cautious step back, âAnd just how do you know my husband?â ready to make a run for it. Alfie sits himself in a chair, he leans back, âThe real question is, how do you?â

âWhat you need Tommy, is a wife, for your own good.â Polly scolds her nephew. But he only nods, still nose-deep in paperwork. Itâs been like this for months. Almost two whole years of Tommy locking himself up in his office. From early morning, to late at night, he would bury himself to the neck in work. It broke her heart knowing that Charlie would wait hours for his father to return home. Only to be stood up again and again. Polly had been genuinely worried for her nephewâs well-being. Although he'd kept to himself, she could tell that Tommy was lonely. It had been years since he even laid eyes on a woman.
Not since his beloved Grace.

That same day Polly and Ada brought Charlie with them to the marketplace. It was better than being cooped at home all day with no one to play with. As soon as they'd turn their backs away from the young Shelby boy, he was nowhere to be found. Ada is the first one to notice, looking around frantically for her dear nephew,Â

âCharlie?âŠCharlie?! CHARLIE!â
Ada swiftly turns to her aunt, âPolly! Charlieâs missing!â pure panic swarms her mind. Polly orders for their group to split up in hopes of finding him before someone else would. She shoves frantically though the busy crowd. As soon as the Shelby matriarch hears her name being called by an unfamiliar voice, she pauses for a brief moment to listen. Polly reaches into her pocket, clutching a holster, ready for the worst to happen. This voice had been calling for her specifically. She follows the sound of it. With each step the voice became louder, âPolly! Aunt Polly!â Thatâs when she finally spots the young boy.
A young woman holds his hand in hers. His eyes are a reddish hue from crying. Polly eyes her for a brief moment. But before she could speak the young lady beats her to it, âYou must be Aunt Polly.â Her face seems familiar. Polly raises a brow, âDo IâŠknow you?â
She shakes her head, âNot that Iâm aware of, no. I saw little Charlie over here all by himself, broke my heart listening to him cry, I had to do something about it,â she lets go of his tiny hand. Charlie reaches for his great aunt. Polly pulls the young boy into her arms, now holding him tightly. A small arm wraps around her neck. His other one held a treat given by the woman.
It was the only clue Polly needed. Now she knew exactly who this mystery woman was. How could she have not known her? The entire town knew of her and her family. Sheâs the bakerâs daughter. A sweet, lovely woman, bit shy though. Only keeps to herself when working. Soft spoken and polite to all. A nice girl, the type youâd bring home to your parents.
Speaking of whichâŠ
âAre you married?â Polly blurts out. You look up to her with wide eyes then shyly look down, âN-no..â a meek response revealed to her your innocent-like nature. She raises a brow, lips now curled, âReally? What a shame, such a beautiful young woman and no line of bachelorsâŠor is there?â Polly decides to test the water. You let out a nervous chuckle, âOh no madam, not even one,â you'd give a sheepish reply at the question told. Polly purses her lips, âPlease dear, call me Aunt Polly,â she raises a gloved hand out for the younger woman to shake, giving her name with a warm smile. Most families would dread to wed their daughter off to a Shelby. Hopefully yours won't shun them away. Polly has high hopes for this one, quite proud of herself for stumbling into you.
What better place to find a decent woman than at the marketplace.
Polly wastes no time finding out where her parents lived. Her mother was an active member of quire. Now, her days were spent running the family business along with her husband and youngest daughter. She came from a wealthy family and ended up falling for the townâs baker. He's a quiet man with gentle hands, similar to that of his daughter. Together they raised two children, the eldest daughter now married.
At first glance, the father wouldnât seem like the type to serve as an honorary militant. But nonetheless, their small family only had each other. No groups or communities to relate to. Just their own, small tribe. Perhaps theyâd be willing to marry off their youngest daughter, with a little persuasion of course.
Their Bakery did make plenty of income and would benefit both of their businesses. Polly was already fond of the family. She wouldnât let just anyone unite with theirs. Perhaps they needed a helping hand to run the shop. It would be easy business, with tremendous gain for their growing empire. Pollyâs plan was coming together perfectly in her head. Now all she needed to do was play her cards right.
