On a similar note, watching Hannibal with my dad (ex-prison guard, parol officer, and generally well-rounded, overly informed autist) is a damn hoot. Whenever there's an ad break, he goes through and picks apart everything inconsistent or nonsensical; he has the same opinion of Lounds as OP's dad. He has, on multiple occasions, said things along the lines of, "I can't wait for Hannibal to kill her, she's such a brat." He loves discussing the technicalities of how each kill is accurate or inaccurate, (ie. "How did [the Angel Maker] he string himself up?" or, "That wouldn't work like that. The positioning is too awkward compared to the antlers.) He also makes sure to pick the various prison scenes to absolute shreds, ("Oh, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen," "That's so wrong, where's the other guard??" "Well behaved or not, don't leave a male prisoner alone in a room with a lady nurse!")
One of my favorite things is watching Hannibal with my lawyer husband. He becomes progressively more outraged. Every time. No matter how many times we rewatch it. Like he'll never forgive Will for not suing everyone. Suing the FBI is this man's Roman Empire.
You wouldn't believe the sheer force of his his disappointment when Freddie didn't bite it - "She's worse! (than Hannibal) How is she alive?! (to Will on screen) C'mon buddy, just this once,no one is going to miss her! She's trespassing, breaking and entering,we can spin that!" - so if you're ever wondering what a lawyer considers evil,it's apparently tabloid reporters.

Who LITERALLY cares. Science party as hannigram.

He's just a silly little guy, officer
