am i almost a decade late to this parallel
I love the idea of Bill being into Ford being tied up with his arms but also imagine FIDDLEFORD being into that.
Like Bill just does it one day and Ford's just like 'Hello??? Fiddleford??? A little help??' And Fiddleford's ass is NOT listening. He's just there like biting his lip even though Ford is like out here legit struggling to breathe.
Okay, so, I rewatched A Tale of Two Stans recently, and a little detail stood out to me. In the scene where Stan gets kicked out, he pleads to Ford for some sort of help or reassurance, which Ford responds to by closing the curtains.

THEN we get:

"Stanford? Don't leave me hangin'. High six?" This comes AFTER Ford closes the curtains and presumably turned away, right? But, in one of the lost journal pages in the Book of Bill, what do we see?

A startlingly accurate depiction of Stan's offered high-six.
This implies two possibilities to me. One: Ford couldn't bear to fully look away and peeked through the curtains, and this image of Stan burned itself into his memory to where he can still recreate it ten years later. Two: Ford knows Stan well enough to where he can accurately guess what his twin would have looked like based on what he heard in that moment. Both options are absolutely heartbreaking. Everything about these two fuckers makes me want to cry

wow, Stan Pines two for two on Bill Cipher murders

Some needed wisdom

Wanted to draw that scene from The Book of Bill :D
I think Stanley is way smarter than the show gives him credit for. Seriously, let's break it down. The guy had multiple fake IDs and probably escaped jail more than once, and more, I can't even begin to remember all the things he did that would take a lot of smartness for him to pull it off. He even managed to steal nuclear waste—like, how do you even get into a facility like that? That takes more than just brute strength, if you ask me.
And can we talk about how Stanley pieced together the journals to turn on an interdimensional portal? He actually got it working again! Sure, he had his brother's journals to guide him, but the fact that he decrypted all that scientific stuff and made it work proves he’s more than just muscle. It would’ve taken serious smarts to pull that off.
Stanley was never the 'dumb' twin, even though people seem to think he was. Just because he had bad grades in school or was more impulsive doesn’t mean he wasn’t smart. In fact, he was always quick on his feet and knew how to handle tough situations. He wasn’t just a guy who relied on force to protect his brother—he was clever and resourceful too.
So yeah, let’s give Stanley the credit he deserves. He’s not just the tough guy; he’s actually pretty damn smart.
I'm very bad at explaining what I feel about this and I'm missing many points but yeah you get what I mean I hope.
the implications of ford pulling this photo out of his trenchcoat in the last episode you guys… THE IMPLICATIONS.

look at the state of this thing!! look at its rips! the stain in the bottom right corner! it’s dog-eared, the color is faded, the paper has browned… he’s kept this photo of them since they were kids. through all the years he stubbornly swore to hold a grudge, all the years he and stan never spoke, he kept this photo.
and we can assume he probably didn’t have it dimension-hopping, since i find it hard to believe he would’ve had it on him when he initially got sucked in, but ford pulling it out of his trenchcoat here!! implies!! that he had been CARRYING IT AROUND WITH HIM for some time after he got back!
imagine if he found it in some of his old stuff the night he returned, after punching and yelling at stan, after being sure to keep as much emotional distance between them as possible, and he finds this photo. would he have stared down at it? for a little while? smoothed the creases out on his desk? thumbed the torn, loved edges while he mourned a simpler time? then pocketed the thing to always have it with him?
i dunno. maybe i’m looking too far into it. but i can’t help but wonder if ford kept it because, against all his big dreams and ambitions, deep down he always wondered what his life might have been like if he sailed away with his brother when they were teenagers. never able to throw it away because doing so would symbolically destroy the last remnants of a childhood fantasy, the last piece of him that remains young and hopeful of a future at his brother’s side.

no
headcannon that Stan is actually naturally smart and stuff but he gave up on applying himself to studies because no matter how well he did ford did better and he decided that if it wasn’t good enough why should he try to be good enough

Let's play everyone's favorite game— "how long will this post stay up?!"
I don't think anyone would be surprised that I like this ship but I'm still embarrassed about posting this BDJSNSJSND

Freaky bill this, freaky ford that how about freaky Fiddleford? He’s certainly waited long enough.
bonus:

Hi! How’s your Bill animation going?
That's all I've done today 😭
Wait no hold on because Stan wasn’t even given a chance from the day they were BORN. They gave Ford a middle name and didn’t bother to give one to Stan. Not even his mother’s name. FILBRICK WHEN I CATCH YOU FILBRICK FILBRICK WHEN I CATCH YOU FILBRICK FILBRICK WHEN I CATCH YOU FI-

gross old men
Something I just recently noticed that just seems to hurt even more is the outbursts the twins have when feeling they’ve been betrayed.
Ford greening out and going full conspiracy mode. Probably not Fidds greatest idea.
Thank you @rangerbarbz for letting me use your headcanon to make this one!😆

sometimes the tragedy of distance is very simple. i want to get groceries with you

Here’s my piece for the Stanchez Bang! It’s a poster for the fic I worked for, “Livin’ La Vida Loca”! I had another drawing planned, but I sadly got swamped by other work right around the deadline. (Hence why there’s minimal detail in this.) Still, I’m really happy with how this turned out! When I have time again, I may go back and touch this up with added details.
