Kinda had a funny idea: What if Uzi's solver tail had a mind of its own and it spent time from the Cabin Fever episode onwards being snarky as hell, as well as third-wheeling

Uzi: Ugh, bite me.

Tail: I would if it didn't hurt me too, you know.

the idea of a mental link so the tail just talks to her is funny as fuck. i did that ironically but im gonna implement it seriously now

Not to be overdramatic, but its getting pretty sickening to wander into our fandom space and find so many people putting down the show or the writing or the characters.

There are some ideas I agree with! Some people will bring up really good points about lore consistency or characterization issues (for examlple, the show overvillainizing characters who've only been seen doing a couple negative things, or rushing character development without gradually displaying growth). I find a lot of complaints about not having confirmed details because of contradicting statements in certain episodes (still have no clue how old Sun and Moon are, if anyone knows for sure PLEASE lmk). In general, a lot of the stuff I see would valid observations/criticism for an official show, where the standard is set by actual paid productions with full writers' rooms and everything.

That is not what this is. And it feels like a lot of us forget that.

A lot of us complain about mistakes a studio would never make, or that the show isn't to our standards when it's clear we're used to bigger, more "official" projects. Whether we outright state it or not, we're criticizing this show based on our experiences, and our experiences are VERY DIFFERENT from the reality of the content we're criticizing.

This is literally a bunch of random people messing around with a preexisting set of characters, a Google Document of never-ending plot to act out daily, and a couple VR headsets. That is all this is. Yeah, it's a pretty compelling story! A lot of people like it!! But getting too attached and then shouting "THEY RUINED IT BY DOING X" isn't helping anybody, and it's hard to enjoy being in a fandom that prefers criticizing the source material over having fun with the parts they like.

Going through tags and seeing a bunch of short posts that don't elaborate any further than "I am mad about this and it keeps me up at night. They should change this because i hate it with every fiber of my being." Why are you mad about it? Why are you letting it keep you up at night? Why are you letting your dislike of it grow to consume every fiber of your being??

This mentality that the bad stuff always completely blocks out the good stuff and therefore you cannot enjoy any content that has Bad Stuff is so sad to think about tbh - how do you guys interact with fandom spaces?? How do you experience joy?? Why are you still watching the show if it's so awful you can't stop talking about its flaws???

I'm honestly glad I don't have that mentality. Even when I read criticisms and agree with them, notice little mistakes and inconsistencies in episodes, or just generally find issues with the show, I have the ability to look past it and have fun with the silly VRchat lore. And that's something I've apparented been taking for granted.
